Sjællandske Klimaprojekter Climate Projects on Zealand Sjællandske klimaprojekter Climate Projects on Zealand THE EUROPEAN UNION We are moving the world to a better place The European Regional Development Fund Denne brochure illustrerer de mange klima-, energi- og miljøaktiviteter, som Vækstforum Investing in your future Sjælland har sat i gang siden 2007. Der er medfinansieret aktiviteter for mere end 164 mio. DKK (22 mio. Vækstforum Sjælland Yderligere information kan findes på www.vfsj.dk 1 INDHOLD We are moving the world to a Better Place 2 Generelle Tiltag This brochure illustrates the many climate, energy and environmental activities Regional 14 Biobrændsel Growth Forum Sjælland has launched since 2007. There is co-funded activities for more 18 Lokale tiltag than 164 million. DKK (22 mio. EUR), which includes funding from the regional council, 22 Byggeri og materialeteknik the EU Structural Funds and the participating parties. Even before the current interest in cleantech arose, we conducted an assessments of the region, which indicated very signi- ficant competencies and opportunities in the areas of climate, energy and environment. CONTENT Therefore, development of business within these areas remains central for the strategy of Regional Growth Forum Sjælland. 2 General Measures 14 Biofuel Another obvious reason for our interest in the field is that we harbour a serious concern 18 Local Projects about the climate challenges and the challenges of ensuring the future of energy. 22 Construction and Materials Something must be done at all levels, be that global, national or regional - and this offers new opportunities for businesses, because there is a growing market for environmental solutions. Therefore, we have chosen to focus on climate solutions in all forms, with emphasis on projects that are directly related to the market. While it is important to us that we developed good ideas and projects, it is equally important that these ideas are realized so they can make a real difference on the fields and in the market. The innovation and development activities that are described in this brochure, contribute to the implementation of the regional climate strategy. The regional climate change strategy is developed by the 17 municipalities of Region Zealand in cooperation with the Regional administration. The essence of this strategy is focused in three elements: 1. Prevention, 2. Adjustments and 3. Innovation. Several projects have co-financing from EU Structural Funds, particularly the Regional Fund. This means that these projects are contributing to the Lisbon objectives of su- stainable growth, competitiveness and employment. We hope that you find the reading interesting and that the activities can inspire you to work with us. Regional Growth Forum Sjælland. In recent years more and more municipalities have used ESCO-contracts to retrofit existing public buildings, and to make them more energy efficient. At the moment 30 municipalities (of the 98 municipalities in Denmark) are involved in, or preparing, ESCO contracts. Nevertheless, ESCO-contracting still faces many challenges on the Danish market, as there is a widespread skepticism towards the concept amongst many stakeholders. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the various experience gained so far by municipalities use of ESCO-contracting, the different approached to ESCO-contracting being used in practice, as well as the different viewpoints drivers and barriers behind the development.

Background: We recently reported frequent use of opioids among elderly with dementia. Discrepancies in clinical practice may in part explain the higher use of opioids in elderly with dementia, which geographical variation may be able to clarify. Objective: To investigate geographical variation in opioid use in elderly with dementia compared to elderly without dementia. Methods: Register-based cross-sectional study in the entire elderly (≥65 years) population of Denmark in 2015.

  • Partner Search from Roskilde Municipality
Partner search from Roskilde Municipality (Preliminary) Title of the Digital lower secondary schools explore new ways of learning project Outline of the project idea The Municipality of Roskilde has the ambition to develop new learning methods with digital devices and platforms. Mobile technologies, cloud-based free tools, and readily available resources and networks are all potentials in today’s knowledge society. These can contribute to the development of new skills for children, in the same way that ICT can support inclusive learning environments to integrate pupils of different social and cultural backgrounds or different sexes. A gap, however, exists between what is possible and what is acceptable and prevalent in lower secondary school as well as in teacher training. This is especially noticeable when it comes to the new kinds of net-based collaborative authorships, methods of publication, and knowledge sharing communities. The lower secondary schools are experiencing problems with the use of other people’s materials on the internet, and with the ability of pupils/students to evaluate information. Simultaneously, the teachers in general are lacking evaluation tools to match the new ways in which knowledge is gained. The project will develop: • Principles for pedagogical design to manage the potentials and challenges when pupils and students are seeking information, gathering materials, sharing knowledge, and collaborating while using readily available digital resources, tools, and environments on the internet. • Principles for digitally supported inclusive teaching methods to integrate pupils of different social and cultural backgrounds. • A model of school development for the pedagogical integration of ICT in various subjects. Roskilde Municipality is especially interested in digitalization in the subjects mathematics, english and german language.
