Taken at Aldershot. Walter Lowe, born 1892-03-08 in Golborne and resident at Leigh Street, married Gladys Rebecca Shirley, from Ashton-in- Makerfield, 1914-08-08; they moved to Oldham in 1922. Lowe worked as a wall-paper printer and served with the Essex Regiment. He died in Oldham, 1970-04-29.
