The road from Cannonville to Kodachrome Basin is paved, but if you continue south on either HOLE-IN-THE-ROCK Skutumpah (west) or Cottonwood Canyon (southeast), you’re traveling on a fairly good dirt road. This road is passable in good weather; however, check road conditions before venturing out into this magnificent region, and make sure to take enough water and supplies

Kodachrome Basin is a well kept scenic secret. Named after the film made by Kodak, this state park is a delight for photographers and explorers. Trails extend among unique rock formations in all directions, and there is an excellent campground here, with some services available during the main travel season.
