First descriptions were often merely based on hearsay, as they were often not studied alive. Consequently, many errors in interpretation of these names have occurred and taxonomic confusion, errors in identification and misapplication of names have led to an accumulation of taxonomic entanglement in Narcissus Linnaeus (1753: 289) nomenclature. -

Agric., Omar Al-Mukhtar Univ., Libya Received: 20 May 2017 / Accepted: 28 June 2017 / Publication Date: 10 July 2017 ABSTRACT Survey of rare species in fifteen sites selected according to elevation of Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar, Libya of 828-232 m M.S.L. The site of Habun and Shahat old city is approaches in altitude from sea level, Habun site elevation 614 M.S.L. while the Shahat old city 580 m M.S.L, indicating the importance of the elevation importance in distribution of rare species in Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar. It was noticed that 85 % of species was perennial and 15 % was annuals. Herbs 43 %, Shrubs 40 %, 17 % Trees. Most of the species following Chamaephytes which represented 37 % of the species, while, Phanerophyte annual plants 30 % followed by Therophytes 15 %, Geophytes and Hemicryptophytes 7 %, as well as Hydrophytes 4 %. The variation in the number of plants per species gave two groups the first group was in the two sites of Slonta and Sidi Alhamri, about 781 – 802 m M.S.L., and 75 %, the second group is divided into the Shahat old city group, Cyrenaica is the largest plant diversity region in Libya.One species of Extinct was Narcissus tazetta L. in IUCN was Endangered. Typifi cations of the names of Iberian accepted species of Narcissus L. (Amaryllidaceae). While preparing the taxonomic treatment of Narcissus for Flora iberica fourteen names of accepted taxa were found without any type designation. Thirteen lectotypes and one neotype are designated for these taxa. Additionally, fi ve epitypes are selected for accepted species with old drawings as types, and one for a Linnaean name which has a defi cient specimen as lectotype. Key words. Narcissus, nomenclature, Iberian Peninsula, Western Mediterranean, typifi cation. RESUMEN. Tipificación de los nombres aceptados de las especies ibéricas del género Narcissus (Amaryllidaceae). En el curso de la preparación del tratamiento taxonómico del género Narcissus para Flora Ibérica, catorce nombres de taxa aceptados han sido encontrados sin designación de tipo nomenclatural. Trece lectotipos y un neotipo han sido designados para estos taxa. Adicionalmente, cinco epitipos se han seleccionado para las especies aceptadas con ilustración como tipos y uno para un nombre de Linneo que presenta un defi ciente especímen como lectotipo. I (September 2020), PP. 44-53 www.iosrphr.org Constituents and pharmacology of Narcissus tazetta Ali Esmail Al-Snafi Department of Pharmacology, College of Medicine, Thi qar University, Iraq. Received 17 September 2020; Accepted 02 October 2020 ABSTRACT: The chemical analysis of Narcissus tazetta showed that it contained flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, tannins, cardiac glycosides, oil, steroids, terpenoids and anthraquinones. The pharmacological investigation showed that Narcissus tazetta antibacterial and antifungal, antiviral, antimalerial, anticancer, antioxidant, dermatological, cardiovascular, immunomodulatory and acetylcholinesterase inhibitory effects. The current review discussed the chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of Narcissus tazetta. KEYWORDS: Narcissus tazetta, ingredients, pharmacology, therapeutic I. INTRODUCTION: Medicinal plants are the Nature’s gift to human beings to help them pursue a disease-free healthy life. Plants have been used as drugs by humans since thousands of years ago. As a result of accumulated experience from the past generations, today, all the world’s cultures have an extensive knowledge of herbal medicine. Two thirds of the new chemicals identified yearly were extracted from higher plants. 75% of the world’s population used plants for therapy and prevention. In the US, where chemical synthesis dominates the pharmaceutical industry, 25% of the pharmaceuticals are based on plant-derived chemicals (1). Plants are a valuable source of a wide range of secondary metabolites, which are used as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, flavours, fragrances, colours, biopesticides and food additives(2-21). The chemical analysis of Narcissus tazetta showed that it contained flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, tannins, cardiac glycosides, oil, steroids, terpenoids and anthraquinones. -

Xhuvani”, Elbasan, Albania Received October 17, 2017; Accepted September 29, 2017 Abstract: The article includes the palynomorphological study of the main members of family Amaryllidaceae in Albania. In this article submitted comparative features of the genus: Acis, Leucojum, Narcissus, Sternbergia. The material for the study was obtained in National Herbarium in Tirana. For the study of palynomorphological features are analyzed 31 pollen grains from each species. The treatment of material is made with acetolysis method and basic fuchsine. The fixing of pollen grains is made with glycerin gelatin. The study and photos of pollen grains are realized with light microscope with 1000x power. The pollen grains of plants above are oblate ellipsoid or oblate spheroidal, isopolare, monosulcate. The exine appears thick and has two-layers. The sculpture of exine is microreticulate, tectate- punctuate, foveolate. The palynomorphological study of these representatives is given for the first time in the literature of palynology. They are monocote plant of Asparagales order (APG II, 2003) . The family took its name from the noun Amaryllis. The leaves are usually linear, flowers are symmetrical and hermaphroditic and located like umbrella on the stalk. -

Se propone una nueva clasificación de las Amaryllidoideae mediterrá- neas, basada en un amplio estudio de la morfología de los bulbos y de los caracteres florales (cuadro 2). Esta clasificación difiere de la de TRAUB (1970) en que se restablece el género V agaria y en que se transfiere el género Hannonia de las Galantheae a las Pan- cratieae. La tribu Galantheae queda reducida a una subtribu de las Narcisseae. Sin em- bargo, el cambio más importante es el transferir La piedra de las Galantheae a las Pan- cratieae y el establecimiento de una nueva subtribu: Lapiedrinae. Summary. On the basis of extensive investigations of bulb morphology and a re- vision of the floral characters, a modified classification of the Mediterranean Amarylli- doideae is proposed (table 2). This treatment differs from that of TRAUB (1970) in that the genus Vagaria is restored and the genus Hannonia transferred from the Galantheae to the Pancratieae. The tribe Galantheae is reduced to a subtribe of the Narcisseae.
