Group Assignment Investigating an Escarpment Park (PowerPoint Format)

As a member of a three-person group, you are to complete the following tasks:  Select a conservation area/park from the list provided below. If you pick another park, your choice must be approved by your teacher before you commence research.  Your team members will have computers and opportunities to research on Monday, November 3, 10 and 17, 2014  Your team’s “rough work”, research findings, and summary of individual participation (who did what) will be handed in on Wednesday November 19, 2014  Your group is to prepare a PowerPoint product to present your findings on Friday, November 21, 2014

Your group’s final product, as a minimum, will answer the following: 1. Name of area, origin of name, location of area. 2. Provide a map of your park (different views—road map, satellite, topographic) 3. Explain the geologic/geographic origins of your park. How where present day features created? 4. Provide current photographs of your park. 5. List various features, attractions, uses of the current park. 6. Identify advantages that this park provides for mankind.
