  • Jets Send Three Players Back to Moose Moose Mightier Than the Wild
Winnipeg Free Press https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/hockey/manitoba-moose/jets-send-three-players- back-to-moose-469247423.html?k=Sc4PAa Jets send three players back to Moose By: Jeff Hamilton With the Winnipeg Jets beginning a league-mandated five-day break, the team has assigned three players to its American Hockey League affiliate. Goaltender Michael Hutchinson, and forwards Brendan Lemieux and Jack Roslovic have been sent back to the Manitoba Moose, who continue their season with a game this afternoon against the Iowa Wild. It’s not clear at this point if any of the three will be ready to play in the 2 p.m. game. Hutchinson joined the Jets Friday as an emergency call-up after backup goalie Steve Mason fell ill and returned to Winnipeg for further evaluation. Hutchinson has a 14-2-4 record with the Moose this season after being assigned there by the Jets prior to the start of the NHL regular season. He leads the AHL with a .942 save percentage and boasts the third-best goals against average, at 1.94. Lemieux joined the Jets on Jan. 8 and played one game after an injury to forward Shawn Matthias — a 4-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild Saturday night. The 21-year-old has played in eight games with Winnipeg this year and has one goal. Roslovic, 20, was recalled by the Jets on Dec. 31 and played in four games during his stint. He returns to the AHL seventh in league scoring with 35 points (15G, 20A) in 31 games with the Moose.

2018-19 !!!!!CHICAGO!WOLVES ! GAME!NOTES CHICAGO at COLORADO OCTOBER 5, 2018 8 p.m. AHLTV THE!=>TH!ANNIVERSARY!SEASON 2018-19 After months of preparation and anticipation, the 2018-19 American Hockey League season finally has TALE!OF!THE!TAPE arrived for the Chicago Wolves. Tonight marks the start of the franchise’s 25th season overall and 18th year as part of the American Hockey League. It seems fitting to open the year against the Colorado REGULAR-SEASON SERIES 0-0-0-0 Colorado | 0-0-0-0 Chicago Eagles because it’s a milestone occasion for them as well. The Eagles are making their AHL debut as they were welcomed as the league’s 31st team earlier this year. LAST MEETING April 22, 2018 Just as the Wolves are known for being four-time league champions, the Eagles enter this year riding the momentum of back-to-back championships in the ECHL. They have become partners with the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche this season, so their roster does not bear much resemblance to the group that claimed the 2018 Kelly Cup. Only six Eagles return, but a good chunk of Colorado’s Opening Night 0-0-0-0 0-0-0-0 roster played for San Antonio last year as the Rampage served as the Colorado Avalanche’s NHL partner. That group includes former Wolves forward Andrew Agozzino (18 goals, 36 assists in 2016-17). FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NOVEMBER 5, 2020 BLUE JACKETS SIGN DEFENSEMAN VLADISLAV GAVRIKOV TO THREE-YEAR CONTRACT Gavrikov ranked among NHL’s top rookie blueliners in goals, assists and points in 2019-20 COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov to a three-year, $8.4 million contract through the 2022-23 National Hockey League season, club General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Gavrikov, 24, recorded five goals and 13 assists for 18 points with 18 penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 69 contests with Columbus in 2019-20. He led all Blue Jackets rookies in assists and time on ice (18:59) and ranked second in points and shots on goal (81), while finishing sixth-T among NHL rookie defensemen in goals and points and seventh-T in assists. He added 1-2-3 and six penalty minutes in 10 playoff outings, including scoring his first career postseason goal in Game Four of the Eastern Conference Qualifying Series vs. Toronto on August 7. “Vladimir Gavrikov was everything we hoped he would be during his rookie season last year, establishing himself as a top four defenseman in the National Hockey League,” said Kekalainen. “He is still a young player that we expect will get better every year and continue to be an important part of our blueline.” The Yaroslavl, Russia native made his NHL regular season debut on October 5, 2019 at Pittsburgh and notched his first career goal on November 15, 2019 vs. St. Louis (Jake Allen). The defenseman had made his NHL debut with Columbus in Game Five of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on May 4, 2019 at Boston and skated in two Stanley Cup Playoffs contests in 2019.
