In 2012, HMM correspondent, Sylvester (“Sly”) Johnson, introduced the GK world to Malcolm Xavier- Hollander, the 18 year old founder of the Black Resin Owners Society (BROS aka “The Brotherhood”), an enthusiastic group of Black GK artists looking to contribute to our hobby. This year BROS honors those Black folks who have made significant contributions to horror/sci-fi/fantasy film and television. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Malcolm X-H: “This year, BROS has published its first annual list of BROS Award winners. The award is called the BROscar® and the BROscars® go to the most influential Black people and Honorary Black people in Horror/Science-Fiction/Fantasy films.
