The Lingyen Mountain Temple adheres to the bequeathed teachings of the Buddha. Our practice is centered on Pureland with attention to propagating and observing Buddhist precepts; our aim is to purify the mind of the multitude and to build a safer and more secure society. We pray for world peace and national prosperity, for favorable weather and the well-being of people, for the light of Buddhism to shine even brighter and the -wheel to continuously turn. We wish to transfer our merits accrued herein and dedicate them as follows: May the Three Treasures forever dwell in the world; all of its citizens cultivate the holy path to yield blessings, wisdom and longevity. May all sentient beings in the ten directions of the Dharma Realm enter the sea of Amitabha's vows and ultimately achieve unsurpassed .

 Event Dates: November 24, 2018 ~ November 25, 2018 (Sat - Sun)

 Registration Date: Registration will take place until November 18, 2018

 Arrival Date and Time: Please arrive between 5:30~7:00p.m. on Friday, November 23 for room assignment. Explanation of the schedule will be held at 7:15 p.m.

 Qualifications: Participants should be above the age of 7, healthy, able to follow the Temple's schedule, and understand the details of the Eight Precepts and . All participants are required to stay at the Temple during the event. Activities: Precept Transmission Ceremony; lessons in Buddhist etiquette and the Precepts; Repentance Service; the daily morning and evening services; recitation; to the Buddhas etc. The entire ceremony will conclude at 6:00 p.m. on November 25.

 Fees: a basic fee of $10 for the placing of a plaque in the participant's name.

 Items to Bring: personal identification, haiqin/black robe (please bring your brown sash if you have already taken the Five or Precepts), a sleeping bag, hygienic items and clothing (including jacket, loose-fitting pants, black/white socks), cup, convenient shoes, etc.

 Plaque Service: Plaques are available by donation, to be placed for the duration of the Ceremony. There are two types: 1. Longevity Plaque, to enhance blessings and wisdom, to eliminate calamities and hindrances, to plant good causes that can assist the individual in cultivation; 2. Memorial Plaque, to deliver the deceased, including familial ancestors, teachers, and even foes.  We invite followers everywhere to ardently participate in the Ceremony and also encourage supporters to make meal donations and thus widely establish pure affinity.
