Table 1. List of genes significantly upregulated in PVH in response to LPS injection or restraint. Genes that were significantly upregulated (p < .05 and greater than 2.5 fold change from saline) are listed and grouped according to their function; with 1hr and 3hr data separated by a blank line. Genes that are upregulated by BOTH stressors are listed in GREEN. The degree to which the lists are similar varies by function. For example, many of the signaling molecules are upregulated in common, whereas the immune related molecules (boxed in red) are completely distinct sets of genes.
