1. Introduction

Iberdrola España wants to strengthen its contribution to improving the quality of life of the citizens in the territories and countries it works in, it therefore seeks to offer effective answers to the fundamental needs of society by using its business capacities and strength.

Iberdrola España also accepts that without the backing of a qualified, diverse and motivated team, it would not be possible to achieve its strategic goals, and that for the success of the group business it is critical to select, recruit and hold onto the best talent in accordance with current legislation and the best professional practices. Therefore the basic principles of the Group’s selection and recruitment policy are to promote the access of young people to their first job by means of scholarship programmes and other agreements, as well as providing candidates with a competitive employment package that favours the selection and contracting of the best professionals.

For this purpose, Iberdrola España presents its Call for Scholarships for Masters Studies in Spain, to contribute to excellence in training young people and to provide them with higher qualifications to facilitate their access to their first job.

2. Call

Iberdrola España issues a call for scholarships for the academic year 2018-2019 for postgraduate studies in Spanish universities in the following areas of knowledge:

- Engineering - IT - Mathematics, Big Data - Information and Communication Technologies - Humanities - Law - Business Administration and Management - Digital Marketing.

The call starts on the date of its publication and ends at 2 PM (Spanish time) on 2 April 2018.

The scholarships are for studies at campuses of excellence, they are regional or international in scope and they are aimed particularly at the following universities:

3. Candidate requirements

 The Iberdrola España scholarships are aimed at students of Spanish nationality or residing in Spain.

 Candidates must be in possession of a recognised university qualification at undergraduate or degree level at the time of the application. If they are in the last year of their degree in the 2017- 2018 academic year, the scholarship will be conditional on obtaining their university degree in the June/July 2018 examination period with the same or higher average grades than at the time of application for the scholarship.

 No applications will be admitted with studies at diploma level, technical engineering or technical architecture.

 Languages: In all applications, candidates will be required to demonstrate excellent knowledge of English by presenting a certificate of renowned prestige.

Valid English certificates will include the following:

− University of Cambridge: First Certificate or higher − IELTS (minimum score: 5.0). − TOEFL (minimum score: 61 Internet based, 173 computer based or 500 paper based). − Higher cycle certificate of aptitude (former plan) or advanced level B2 certificate (new plan), completed and passed, in official language schools. − Diplomas or certificates issued by the language schools of universities, certifying studies and passing level B2 (or higher) of the Common European Reference Framework for Languages. For universities in the United States, the minimum required level will be C1:

 Not be receiving financial remuneration or salary or benefiting from any grant, economic aid or any other similar allocation from public or private institutions and foundations during the time of the scholarship.

 Not be giving services or maintaining any relationship relating to employment, work experience, training or any other nature with public or private entities during the time of the scholarship. Similarly, the scholarship holder will inform Iberdrola España of their participation in selection processes for other public or private entities, for the effects of considering their compatibility with the scholarship.

 Candidates who have been awarded Iberdrola España Foundation or Iberdrola España Scholarships on previous occasions will be excluded.

4. Documentation

1 To apply for the scholarship, candidates must send the completed electronic application form before 2 PM (Spanish time) on 2 April 2018, attaching the documents specified below, which shall be named with the document number followed by the surnames of the applicant.

 Document 1. Photocopy of national identity document or passport.

 Document 2. Curriculum vitae, with a recent photograph of the applicant.

 Document 3. Degree certificate or receipt of request, and the certificates of all studies reflected on the form. Only candidates at the end of their studies may attach the academic certification instead of the degree in this section.

 Document 4. Full academic certification of the undergraduate or degree studies with the average mark for the studies completed all subjects and qualifications, year by year, as well as the credits passed. If a first and second cycle of a different qualification has been undertaken, both certifications shall be presented. Students enrolled on the last year of their degree shall provide academic certification of the years and subjects completed

 Document 5. Two original letters of reference from university teachers. In cases where the applicant has been working for several years, one of the letters of reference may be from their immediate superior.

 Document 6. Certificate establishing the level of all languages specified on the form.

 Document 7. Contract or work document justifying professional experience, if any.

 Document 8. Certificate of prizes and scholarships specified on the form. Only prizes and scholarships achieved since the start of university studies will be considered.

If the pre-selection process is passed, Iberdrola España may require the original documents or certified copies of any other document it may need to be presented.

The maximum permitted size per document is 3 MB.

5. Selection process

Pre-selection

The selection process will include a first pre-selection of candidates, for which the academic qualifications, level of English, curriculum, interest of the study project and letters of reference will be considered.

Personal interview

If the pre-selection is passed, the Iberdrola España selection committee may, on its own criteria, arrange a personal interview with the candidate in order to assess their personal conditions, all-round education and motivation.

If interview attendance should suppose travel and/or accommodation costs of more than €15, candidates may ask for refunding of up to €100 for travel in the Iberian Peninsula, by justifying the expenses. This amount may be extended to €150 for travel outside the Iberian Peninsula.

This call may be declared vacant for all or any of the scholarships offered if the selection committee or the person responsible for the scholarship programme should so suggest to Iberdrola España.

6. Designation of candidates

The selection committee will propose the list of selected candidates. Iberdrola España will take the final decision over the candidates finally admitted. The final list of candidates and a list of substitutes will be published on the Iberdrola (www.iberdrola.com) and Iberdrola España website (www.iberdrolaespana.es) on 15 June 2018.

The list of candidates approved by Iberdrola España is definitive and final. Iberdrola España will not provide information on the refused applications.

The final appointment of candidates is subject to meeting the following conditions:

 Sending a signed Letter of Acceptance with the date of issue within five working days of the publication of the final list of beneficiaries, to the following address:

Aside from sending the letter to the postal address above, a scanned copy of the signed Letter of Acceptance shall be forwarded to the electronic address of Iberdrola España. [email protected]

The text of the Letter of Acceptance will be sent to the beneficiaries by electronic mail on the date on which the final selection of candidates is published.

 Presentation to IBERDROLA España before 9 July 2018 of certification of enrolment or definitive admission to studies at the chosen university. In the event of non-admission, candidates will lose their entitlement to the scholarship.

 Presentation by final year degree students of full academic certification of undergraduate or degree studies completed, with the average mark of the studies completed and all subjects and qualifications, year by year, as well as the credits passed. Failure to complete the studies will entail the cancellation of the scholarship.

7. Economic provision and taxation

The scholarship will cover the following items:

 Enrolment at the University or higher teaching centre in Spain, the United Kingdom or the United States.  Master in Spain: Allowance of €10,800 a year for transport and accommodation. This will be paid in 9 monthly payments of €1,200.  Master in the United Kingdom: Allowance of €18,960 a year for transport and accommodation. This will be paid in 12 monthly payments of €1,580.  Master in the United States: Allowance of €24,000 a year for transport and accommodation. This will be paid in 12 monthly payments of €2,000.  Illness and accident insurance.  Travel costs of €1,500 for a two-way transatlantic flight for the scholarship studies.

The support will be given for a maximum of one natural year from the start of the study programme.

The scholarship holder agrees to fulfil all tax obligations that might correspond to them as the beneficiary of the scholarship.

8. Management of the scholarship

The scholarship holder agrees to meet the following obligations:

 On the requirement of Iberdrola España, candidates shall send original or certified documents to accredit the information they have given by means of photocopies or electronic files during the selection process. Similarly, Iberdrola España may require the certifications of any other data on their curriculum.

 Complete the studies foreseen on the presented application. Candidates obtaining a scholarship will be obliged to start the study programme in the September-October call of the 2018-2019 academic year and to complete their studies within the study plan (generally September/October 2019).

 If the scholarship is awarded for programmes including a work experience module, the student agrees to do said work experience in the company of the Iberdrola Group designated by Iberdrola España. If the studies for which the scholarship is granted include compulsory paid work experience to be undertaken in a different entity outside the Iberdrola Group, the scholarship holder shall inform Iberdrola España as early as possible. The amount received for the aforementioned work experience may be deducted from the financial allocation of the scholarship.

 Similarly, the scholarship holder agrees to send Iberdrola España any information that might be required regarding the monitoring and undertaking of the Master's degree and to send all assessments and results of the studies made within the times agreed. The scholarship holder shall inform Iberdrola España of their destination address immediately after their arrival. They shall also report any change in their postal or email address during the time that they benefit from the scholarship.

 If any publication should result from the studies, the author shall inform Iberdrola España and declare their status as a scholarship holder of Iberdrola España.

 The scholarship holder agrees to publicise the fact that they have a scholarship from Iberdrola España during the time that they receiving it.

 If the scholarship holder should fail to meet the above commitments –or any other included in the conditions of the scholarship,–Iberdrola España reserves the right to proceed as they see fit and even to request the return of the amounts received. Specifically, if the scholarship holder should fail to complete the Scholarship programme within the estimated time (September/October 2018), they shall return all monthly payments and other economic items received to date to Iberdrola España, if this occurs after the seventh month.

In any case, Iberdrola España reserves the right to analyse the corresponding request and may change the amount to be returned by the holder.

9. Other conditions

 The scholarship holder shall be invited join the Iberdrola España's selection and recruitment programme though Iberdrola's employment platform (https://www.iberdrola.com/personas- Código de campo cambiado talento/canal-empleo), in which case they should accept the corresponding access conditions and the company's privacy policy.

 Iberdrola España will appoint a mentor to follow up on the scholarship holder’s work and to assist them in their academic, training work and professional development.

 The scholarship holder agrees to hold strict reserve and confidentiality on all information they might receive from Iberdrola España in this support. This confidentiality obligation will hold beyond the term of the scholarship.

10. Personal data

Pursuant to current personal data protection laws, we will notify you of the processing of the personal data that you provide through your scholarship application and all other information contained therein, as well as the processing of personal data if your application is successful.

PERSONS RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA PROCESSING

The persons responsible for data processing are Iberdrola España S.A, who are organising the scholarship you are applying for, and Iberdrola S.A, who are entrusted with the Iberdrola Group's internal administrative management.

PURPOSE

The candidate's personal data is processed in order to analyse their suitability during a scholarship selection process, pursuant to the following legal bases.

If the candidate is granted a scholarship, all personal data collected in the application for the scholarship and the documentation attached to the application, in the images collected on delivery, the follow-up information, the data collected on the survey provided at the end of the studies, the results of the studies made, the information collected from the corresponding university and the results of the assessment of the candidates will be processed for the following purposes:

 To ensure that the candidate meets the requirements throughout the term of the scholarship.  To make the corresponding payments to the scholarship holder.  The publication of their name and photograph on the Iberdrola España website, from which they may be consulted freely by the public in order to report those benefiting from the Iberdrola España scholarships

The persons responsible for personal data processing guarantee the confidentiality of said personal information, with only the data that, having been submitted voluntarily by the candidate, is deemed necessary for the aforesaid purposes subjected to processing. Appropriate technical and organisational measures shall be applied to guarantee an acceptable level of risk, bearing in mind the current state of the art, the costs of application and the nature, scope and context of the use of the data processing, as well as the risks of probability and seriousness for the rights and freedoms of individuals.

Data will only be processed for the above purposes. It may not be used for purposes not compatible therewith. In the event that the information is to be used for purposes other than the above, only data given before the new processing will be supplied.

Applicants' personal information shall be held for the period of the selection process and for six months after the scholarship has been awarded. After this period, all personal data will be deleted, except where its use has been authorised for other purposes, in which case the information may be used until said authorisation is revoked.

The scholarship holder's information may be processed throughout the scholarship. Once this has concluded, it will be blocked for the legally required period of time in the case of possible needs stemming from the processing of the data for the limitation period. When this period has come to an end, the data will be deleted or anonymised, with only the data required for controlling access to new application processes being kept.

LEGITIMATION

The legal basis for data processing is the application of the rules of the application process and, in the case of the scholarship holder, the performance of the contract represented by the signing of the letter of acceptance and the consent required for the processing of the data for other purposes, as well as the legitimate interest of IBERDROLA S.A. in the Group's internal administrative management.

RECIPIENTS

By virtue of the applicable legislation, the necessary information will be communicated to comply with the relevant legal obligations to Agencia Estatal de la Administración Tributaria, Tesorería General de la Seguridad Social, Mutua de Accidentes de Trabajo and financial entities to the management of the scholarship payments

RIGHTS

You have the right to access your personal data, as well as to request the rectification of inaccurate data or its deletion, where the information in question is no longer required for the purposes for which it was initially collected. You also have the right of apposition to or limitation to the processing and portability of the data.

To exercise these rights, please apply in writing to IBERDROLA S.A, Plaza Euskadi 5, 48009 Bilbao, Spain.

In the event that you are not satisfied with the exercise of your rights, you may submit a complaint before the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

MORE INFORMATION

In the case of personal data relating to other individuals, those responsible for personal data processing regarding the application for and/or awarding of the scholarship should notify them prior to use, informing them of the data processing and obtaining their consent.
