WHATZIT ANSWER Bet on the wrong horse ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID GOLDEN TRIANGLE RE- GIONAL AIRPORT COLUMBUS, MISSIS- SIPPI AIRFIELD IMPROVE- MENT PROJECTS A.I.P. Project No. 3-28- 0020-053-2015 Sealed bids for airfield improvements to be per- formed at the Golden Triangle Regional Air- port will be received at the Airport by Michael Hainsey, Executive Dir- ector of the Golden Tri- angle Regional Airport Authority (the Owner), until 2:00 p.m. (Central Daylight Time) on the 10th day of July, 2015, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Work will be that associ- ated with two projects that will be bid separ- ately, more specifically described as follow: • Runway 18/36 Seal- coat and Markings – The surface preparation and sealcoating of the north 6500 feet of the airports runway, plus the applications of new pavement markings in accordance with cur- rent FAA standards. It is anticipated some of the work within this project (sealcoating) will have to take place at night, while other work require- ments can most likely happen during daylight hours. • General Aviation Ap- ron Resurfacing and Markings – The surface preparation and Hot Mix Asphalt overlay of the airport’s general avi- ation apron, general avi- ation connector taxiway, and emergency access road that connects with the GA apron, plus the application of new pave- ment markings in ac- cordance with current FAA standards. It is anti- cipated this project can be accomplished during normal daylight hours. Assuming bids will be received that will allow the funding of the projects, the award of the contract and selec- tion of a contractor will be based upon the low- est and most respons- ive bids received for the proposed items of work. Add alternate items, if added to the project at a later date, will not be considered in the selec- tion process. Add altern- ates, if a part of the project and funded for construction, will be se- lected based on need, prices submitted and funds made available for the work. The Owner reserves the right to award these items in any order, and not ne- cessarily in the order in which they are listed in the proposal forms.
