Address of Project Proponent: Shri Rajendra Singh Kachchhwaha S/o Shri Shiv Ji Kachchhwaha R/o-Sojat Road, Tehsil - Sojat City, District - Pali, (Rajasthan) (ii) Brief Description of Nature of Project Shri Rajendra Singh Kachchhwaha has been granted of mining lease for mineral Lime Stone. The mine lease (M.L.No.-04/1994) is located Project Proponent-Shri Rajendra Singh Kachchhwaha Page - 14 Prefeasibility Report of Lime Stone Mining Project N/v.–Mandla, Tehsil-Sojat City, District -Pali (Rajasthan) near village-Mandla, Tehsil-Sojat City, District-Pali, Rajasthan over an area of 1000 Ha. Mining is proposed by semi-mechanized opencast method. The Mineral is lying on the sub surface therefore opencast mining has been obvious choice. The Bench parameters shall be for mineral 1. Height-3-6m 2.Width- More than 3-6m. The main operation shall be digging, cutting and the transportation by trucks. The Mineral trucks are to be loaded Crane/manually. (iii) Need for the project and its importance to the Country and or Region Rajasthan is the third largest producer of limestone in the country after Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. The state is geologically so endowed that it has become a veritable repository of minerals i.e. Limestone. Mineral Limestone is of industrial importance and used in various minor mineral uses. It is used in making various types of Chips used as construction of houses. Uses of Limestone in industry is also increasing as Chemical such as Hydrated Lime, Calcium Carbide, Precipitated Calcium Carbonate, Di-calcium Phosphate, Calcium Hypochlorite, Quick Lime, Paper Coating pigments, Calcium Ammonium Nitrate etc. It is also used in various industries such as Sugar, Glass, Fertilizer, Cement and Kilns industries etc. The limestone is also used in cement industry as sweetener to make increment of grade. Both high grade and low grade limestone will be mined out from this mine. High grade limestone from this mine is supplied to various end users. (iv) Demand and Supply Gap Demand of limestone for limekilns is supplemented by this mine and chemical grade/lime grade of limestone is supplied to various end users. It is also extensively used in water treatment, paper and pulp industries, manufacturing on inorganic salt, agriculture, sewage treatment and ceramic industries. There is enormous demand for hydrated lime for making a masonry mortar as building construction Project Proponent-Shri Rajendra Singh Kachchhwaha Page - 15 Prefeasibility Report of Lime Stone Mining Project N/v.–Mandla, Tehsil-Sojat City, District -Pali (Rajasthan) material because of the acute shortage of cement. The demand is being met by mostly for the petroleum industries for grease manufacture for the paint industries and for the some chemical process. However, the present supply of hydrated lime is in sufficient to meet with it existing and growing demand of the product, the prospectus of new industries is very good. In fact, these days hydrated lime is in short supply and its prices have also lately gone up due to growth of demand. (v) Imports v/s Indigenous Production As the mineral in abundance is available indigenously so the import of the same is not required. (vi) Export Possibility Export is not feasible like Limestone which can be sufficiently absorbed in the local market, it will not be exported. (vii) Domestic/Exports Markets The mine of is meant for Limestone market use only thus, there is no possibility of selling of the mineral in export markets. (viii) Employment generation (Direct & Indirect) due to the project By proposed project of Lime Stone (Burning) mining in the area, people get employment. The project directly generates the employment opportunities for the local people and indirectly for the others. The total manpower requirement for the proposed mining operation will be around 78 persons directly. Indirect employment is expected by allied activities. 3.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION (i) Type of Project including interlinked and interdependent projects, if any. The proposed project of Lime Stone is an independent project in which mineral will be sold directly in domestic market. (ii) Location (map showing general location, specific location, and project boundary & project site layout) with coordinates. Project Proponent-Shri Rajendra Singh Kachchhwaha Page - 16 Prefeasibility Report of Lime Stone Mining Project N/v.–Mandla, Tehsil-Sojat City, District -Pali (Rajasthan) The lease area has been marked on toposheet No. 45F/12, 45F/16, 45G/9, 45G/13 falls in near village-Mandla, Tehsil-Sojat City, District– Pali in the state of Rajasthan. GUPTA OF THE INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE Superintendent of Census Op~rations, RajalJhan 1969 FOREWORD FEW PEOPLE REALIZE, much less appreciate, that apart from the Survey of India and the Geological Survey, the Census of India had' been perhaps the largest single producer of maps of the Indian subcontinent. Intimate collaboration between geographer and demographer began quite early in the modern era, almost two centuries before the first experiments in a permanent decennial Census were made in the 1850's. For example, the population estimates of Fort St. George, Madras, made in 1639 and 1648, and of Masulipatnam and Bombay by Dr. John Fryer, around 1672-73 were supported by cartographic documents of no mean order, Tbe first detailed modern maps, the results of Major James Rennell's stupendous Survey of 1767-74, were published in 1778-1780 and Henry Taylor Colebrooke, almost our first systematic demographer, was quick to make good use of them by making estimates of population in the East India Company's Possessions in the 1780's. Upjohn's map of Calcutta City, drawn in 1792.93, reprinted in the Census Report of Calcutta for 195 I, gives an idea of the standards of cartographic excellence reached at that period. In the first decade of the nineteenth century, Francis Buchanan Hamilton improved upon Colebrooke's method in which he was undoubtedly helped by the improved maps prepared for the areas he surve ed. It is possible that the Great Revenue Survey, begun in the middle of the last century, offered the best guarantee of the success of decennial population censuses proposed shortly before the Mutiny of 1857.

D. Principal SDS College for Woman. Lopon Distt Moga Scholarly Research Journal's is licensed Based on a work at www.srjis.com Agricultural marketing occupies a key position in the economy of the countries like India, because it mobilizes latent economy energy for the fullest utilization of productive capacity and also provides a base for economic integration. The present system of agricultural marketing is a reflection of contemporary spatial organization of economy, as well as of social and political conditions. Therefore, there is a need to study the changing pattern of marketing system which not only unfold the entire growth ecology of the system but also provide a base for development or planning. Development of markets and marketing or market place exchange system is a result of a long play of factors, geo-economic as well as sociocultural and historical. Therefore, there is an argent need to study the temporal aspect of the development of marketing systems in order to understand their present nature. Although the history of the growth of marketing in Rajasthan is very much similar to that of northern India, yet it has its own characterstic features which can be explained by systematic analysis of the pattern of agricultural marketing in : i. Ancient Period, ii. Medieval Period, iii. British or PreIndependence Period, and iv. Modern or PostIndependence Period.
