2015 Draft Prospects: Nhl Ties and Bloodlines 2015 DRAFT PROSPECTS: NHL TIES AND BLOODLINES Strome, Dylan His brother, Ryan, was drafted fifth overall by the New York Islanders in No. 4-ranked N.A. Skater 2011 and finished third on the team with 17-33—50 in 2014-15. Larkin, Ryan His cousin, Dylan, was drafted 15th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 2014 No. 6-ranked N.A. Goaltender and recorded 15-32—47 in 35 games for the University of Michigan in 2014-15. Kase, David His brother, Ondrej, was drafted 205th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in No. 11-ranked European Skater 2014. Konecny, Travis His second cousin, Bo Horvat, was drafted ninth overall by the Vancouver No. 14-ranked N.A. Skater Canucks in 2013 and played 68 games for the club in 2014-15. Harkins, Jansen His father, Todd, is general manager of the Prince George Cougars in the No. 15-ranked N.A. Skater Western Hockey League and was drafted 42nd overall by the Calgary Flames in 1988. Todd played 48 games in the NHL with the Flames and Hartford Whalers and also appeared in the movie “Miracle” and reality television show “Making the Cut.” His uncle, Brett, also played in the NHL with the Boston Bruins, Florida Panthers and Columbus Blue Jackets. Nattinen, Julius His brother, Joonas, was drafted 65th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in No. 15-ranked European Skater 2009 and skated for MODO in the Swedish Hockey League in 2014-15. DeBrusk, Jake His father, Louie, played 401 regular-season NHL games with the Edmonton No. 19-ranked N.A. Skater Oilers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Phoenix Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks from 1991-03 and currently serves as a hockey analyst for Rogers Sportsnet. Pilon, Ryan His uncle, Rich, played 631 regular-season games over 14 NHL seasons with No. 24-ranked N.A. Skater the New York Islanders, New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues. Beauvillier, Anthony His brother, Francis, was drafted 174th overall by the Florida Panthers in No. 33-ranked N.A. Skater 2012 and played for the University of New Brunswick in 2014-15. Wotherspoon, Parker His brother, Tyler, was drafted 57th overall by the Calgary Flames in 2011. No. 43-ranked N.A. Skater Capobianco, Kyle His uncle, Randy Exelby, was a professional goaltender who appeared in No. 44-ranked N.A. Gilbert, Dennis His uncle, Mike, is vice president of public and community relations for the No. 58-ranked N.A. Skater Buffalo Sabres. Musil, Adam His father, Frantisek (Frank), was drafted 38th overall by the Minnesota No. 61-ranked N.A. Skater North Stars in 1983 and skated in 797 career NHL games with the North Stars, Calgary Flames, Ottawa Senators and Edmonton Oilers. His brother, David, was drafted 31st overall by the Oilers in 2011 and skated in four games with the club in 2014-15. His uncle, Bobby Holik, is a two-time Stanley Cup champion. Forsberg, Fredrik His brother, Filip, was drafted 11th overall by the Washington Capitals in No. 66-ranked European Skater 2012 and led the Nashville Predators with 26-37—63 in 82 games during his rookie season in 2014-15. Sadek, Jack His cousin, Brady Skjei, was drafted 28th overall by the New York Rangers in No. 79-ranked N.A. Skater 2012. Corriveau, Taggart His father, Yvon, was drafted 19th overall by the Washington Capitals in No. 84-ranked N.A. Skater 1985 and played in 280 career NHL games with the Capitals, Hartford Whalers and San Jose Sharks. Schemitsch, Thomas His brother, Geoffrey, was drafted 96th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning No. 91-ranked N.A. Skater in 2010 and played for Acadia University in 2014-15. Andersson, Rasmus His father, Peter, was drafted 73rd overall by the New York Rangers in 1983 No. 93-ranked N.A. Skater and played 47 career NHL games with the Rangers and Florida Panthers. Henley, David His brother Cedrick was drafted 173rd overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 2010 No. 95-ranked N.A. Skater and his brother Samuel was signed as a free agent by the Colorado Avalanche in 2014. Fortin, Alexandre His uncle, Jean-Sebastien Giguere, was drafted 13th overall by the Hartford No. 98-ranked N.A. Skater Whalers in 1995 and appeared in 597 career NHL games with the Whalers, Calgary Flames, Anaheim Ducks, Toronto Maple Leafs and Colorado Avalanche. As a member of the Ducks, Giguere won the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2003 and the Stanley Cup in 2007. Wilkie, Christopher His father, David, won the Memorial Cup with the Kamloops Blazers in No. 113-ranked N.A. Fitzgerald, Casey His father, Tom, was drafted 17th overall by the New York Islanders in 1986 No. 148-ranked N.A. Skater and skated in 1,097 career NHL games with the Islanders, Florida Panthers, Colorado Avalanche, Nashville Predators, Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins. He currently serves as assistant general manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Stevens, Luke His father, Kevin, won the Stanley Cup two times with the Pittsburgh No. 149-ranked N.A. Keane, Jackson His father is three-time Stanley Cup champion Mike Keane, who skated in No. 152-ranked N.A.
