EMRALD IRISH RECIPE

WHAT YOU NEED

● A Glass for hot drinks with a teaspoon ● Good – Jameson is the best for drinking and for Irish ● Coffee for one – 16g Coffee 240g Water per Irish Coffee ​ ​ ● See the Quick and Easy French Press Recipe on our Roasting & Brewing Blog ● 18g Brown ● Pouring Cream, lightly whipped

THE BREWING PROCESS 1. Place a spoon in your Glass to protect the glass from breaking. Pour hot water in to heat the glass 2. Make a French Press and plunge or decant ​ ​ 3. You could also use an with added hot water or a or Pourover ​ ​ 4. Empty your glass of hot water 5. Add 20g Brown Sugar 6. Pour 180g Coffee into the glass and stir to dissolve the sugar 7. Pour 40g of Whiskey and stir 8. Prepare Pouring Cream – lightly whip until it is a aired but still liquid 9. Preheat your spoon in hot water so the cream flows off it easily 10. Place the tip of the spoon inside the coffee and at an angle into the coffee 11. Pour the cream on to the spoon slowly and pour until it fills the Irish Coffee Glass 12. About 1cm of cream on top is best. It should look like a glass of Guinness 13. Sprinkle a little ground coffee on top of the cream 14. Serve and Enjoy! 15. Pro-tip - do not stir the coffee after the drink is ready. If your cream sinks, you need to strengthen the Coffee. You can either add more sugar or make a stronger (ie. 15g Coffee 225g Water per Irish Coffee)
