SAS Championship Celebrates WakeMed Cary Hospital Health Day on Friday, September 30

First 1,000 Patrons to Receive Commemorative PGA TOUR ‘Drive to $1 Billion’ Pin

CARY, N.C. – Continuing to create programs for the Triangle area, the SAS Championship has partnered with Tournament Sponsor WakeMed Cary Hospital to host WakeMed Cary Hospital Health Day on Friday, September 30. The SAS Championship returns to Prestonwood Country Club, September 26 – October 2.

“This is an excellent opportunity for us to show our support of Cary and the SAS Championship by giving back to our community,” said Deb Friberg, Executive Director, WakeMed Cary Hospital and Senior Vice President Cary Market Operations. “We encourage all patrons to experience the excitement surrounding the Tournament and stop by the WakeMed First Aid tent for free health screenings.”

The first 1,000 Tournament Patrons will receive a special pin commemorating the PGA TOUR’s pending milestone of more than $1 billion in charitable proceeds since the TOUR’s inception in 1938. This is a commitment that is unparalleled in professional sports.

The SAS Championship and the Triangle area have become one of the most popular stops on the Champions Tour. The SAS Championship has supported various educational organizations since 2001.
