Hear us | Oil on panel | 49 x 29cm Sarah Jane Brown Contemporary Welsh Landscape Painter Press Release Buy a unique painting by Pembrokeshire artist Sarah Jane Brown and support Pale Moon Charity's poignant local cause Sarah Jane Brown is pleased to be able to donate a special painting, 'Hear us', to the Pale Moon Charity for this year's particularly poignant fundraising effort. This year’s event is in support of the Willington family, who lost father and son in a tragic fishing boat accident off the Pembrokeshire coast in April. Saddened by this and the surviving family’s circumstances, it is hoped that the funds raised will help to ease the financial pressures for the family and that they will take some comfort from the groundswell of local support and generosity. The painting will be displayed at This Hallowed Coast Exhibition at The Cloisters Gallery, St Davids Cathedral from Tuesday 13th September until the night of Saturday 17th. Visitors can view the painting whose reserve price is £650, and place highest offer bids in an envelope during the exhibition. The bidding will conclude at the auction during Pale Moon Big Night Out, the charity’s main fundraising event, where the painting will be sold to the highest bidder. If you are unable to attend either event, or don’t live locally, then you can still place bids by phone. Please contact Sarah Jane Brown on 07874 219942 or [email protected] for further details. Promising to be a fabulous evening of entertainment and fun, tickets for Pale Moon Big Night Out can be purchased online through eventbrite or at several local venues in Pembrokeshire. Pale Moon Charity was founded by actor and local Pembrokeshire resident, Jerome Flynn of ‘Ripper Street’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ fame, whom you may remember from the 80’s hit TV series ‘Soldier Soldier’ and subsequent musical career with co-star Robson Green. The overall framed size of the painting will be 46cm x 66cm. The title ‘Hear us’ is a snippet from the 18th century text by William Whiting, better known today as the Seafarers Hymn. Sarah Jane Brown studied Fine Art Painting at the West Wales School of the Arts, and since graduating with a First Class Honours Degree, Sarah Jane's career as a full time professional artist has gained momentum and recognition. She has exhibited widely throughout the UK, as well as London and New York, and enjoyed several successful solo shows. Her new exhibition This Hallowed Coast runs from 13- 26 September at The Cloisters Gallery, St Davids Cathedral. Attracting collectors across the UK and overseas, her work can also be seen at Etcetera Gallery in St Davids, The Lion Street Gallery in Hay-on- Wye, and Off the Wall Gallery in Cardiff. www.sjbart.com .
