CAD Drafter/Surveyor LOCATION: BALAD, IRAQ SUBSIDIARY: SALLYPORT GLOBAL HOLDINGS SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS The CAD Drafter/Surveyor supports the Civil Engineering Section by providing CAD support to all Civil Engineering Section Engineers and Architects and by conducting field surveys as needed, providing accurate reliable data to the Civil Engineering Section for use in design activities. The CAD Drafter/Surveyor supports design, procurements, and any other activities as assigned by the Engineering Manager ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties of the CAD Drafter/Surveyor include but are not limited to: CAD Providing all facets of production CAD support to the Civil Engineering Section Organizing and maintaining the CAD environment Supplying technical support for all CAD software to the Civil Engineering Section Providing support for plotting and electronic file submissions Interacting on project standards coordination with the Civil Engineering Section and end users Maintaining CAD document archive and retrieval for projects Maintaining all site maps and associated drawings Providing map production for authorized personnel Scheduling drawing completion Photographing recent projects Producing daily backups of all CAD files Assisting in ordering new hardware and configuration and setup when it arrives Assisting in ordering & maintaining print & plotter supplies Archiving completed projects Collecting & shredding outdated drawings and associated paperwork Conducting project related model reviews Producing corporate CAD screen shots Cleaning up CAD files for project closeout Following all applicable CAD Standards Surveying Performing as-built location surveys, construction stakeouts, topographic, location and boundary surveys as needed. Conducting surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and human-made structures on the Earth's surface, underground, and underwater, using electronic distance-measuring Form-HR-004 Revision Number: 002 equipment and other surveying instruments. Tie all surveys/maps to geodetic monuments for both horizontal and vertical control. Setting primary or secondary monumentation as required QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor Degree in Drafting Technology or Survey Engineering Minimum of ten (10) years experience conducting civil engineering surveys Minimum of five (5) years experience in commercial drafting and design Minimum of one (1) years field experience in a contingency environment such as Iraq, Afghanistan or Pakistan and a minimum of one (1) year experience supporting USAF or USACE Civil Engineering projects in a CONUS or OCONUS location. Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2010 or later. Familiarity with all tools and techniques of survey to include: differential leveling, EDM/Data Collectors, GPS equipment and associated download software. Working knowledge and experience in completing surveys using Total Station and GIS Survey Grade Equipment. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn industry specific software applications such as AutoQuotes, KCL, etc. Familiarity with drawing in both imperial and metric formats preferred Valid US passport. Valid US driver’s license. All employees must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess the ability to see objects that are near, far, in color, or at night, including good depth perception; hear speech or other sounds; speak clearly enough so others will understand; walk moderate distances, climb stairs; access work stations and vehicles; maintain attention for extended periods or work long hours; tolerate physical discomforts such as heat, cold, noise, pollution, etc.; perform movements repeatedly or continually, possibly including standing for extended periods or taking frequent extended trips by plane or car; bend, stretch, stoop, twist, and/or reach; manipulate objects with hands or fingers; and lift, push, pull, carry, climb ladders, or balance. .
