[Approved March 11,1895.1 Whereas, The Indiana Academj'^ of Science, a chartered Preamble. scientific association, has embodied in its constitution a pro- vision that it will, upon the request of the Governor, or of the several departments of the State government, through the Governor, and through its council as an advisory body, assist in the direction and execu- tion of any investigation within its province, without pecuniary gain to the Academy, provided only that the necessary expenses of such investi- gation are borne by the State, and, Whereas, The reports of the meetings of said Academy, witli the sev- eral papers lead liefore it, have very great educational, industrial and economic value, and sliould be preserved in permanent form, and.
