The Notre Damian SPRING 2013 Women Making a Difference Luncheon a Success! President’s Message On Thursday, March 7, at Receptions in Erlanger, 300 NDA alumnae, friends, and supporters celebrated the annual Women Making a Difference luncheon. Kathy Upcoming Events 2 Thamann ’69, Janet Von Handorf Schmidt ’81, and Kara Middendorf ’96 were recognized for their contributions to their communities. Also honored were Dick and Jeanne-Marie Tapke, receiving the Sr. Reina Arlinghaus Award, given to persons involved at NDA and the greater community, but are not alumnae of the school. Letter from the Principal 3 Sr. Mary Reina herself presented the award to the Tapkes. “The Women Making a Difference luncheon is an opportunity to honor those living the NDA mission in their service to others,” said Sr. Lynette Shelton, SND, NDA President. Past Women Making a Difference honoree Lisa Cooney emceed the luncheon. School News R.W. Baird and Blau Mechanical served as Gold Sponsors for the event, which 4 raised $20,000 to support tuition assistance efforts at Notre Dame. The event was an enjoyable gathering of alumnae, faculty, staff, and friends of NDA. Congratulations to all of our deserving honorees!
