The M.A.D program is an ICC Americas, WWT20 legacy programme that focuses on Mothers and Daughters cricket. It offers fun, basic skills and fitness, as well as a platform for social interaction within a family / community atmosphere. To maximise from opportunity of the WWT20 being hosted in the Caribbean in November 2018. ICC Americas is using the event to create awareness and increase participation in Women and Girls cricket in the Americas. The programme will be delivered with seven Associate Members in the Americas region, leading up to & during the WWT20 event. Canada USA Bermuda Mexico Peru Brazil Argentina 9 (2) M.A.D Core Programme Six Sessions The programme consists of six sessions this will be delivered by Member countries themselves, at local cricket clubs, multi-sport clubs and community clubs as appropriate. The timings are determined by the Member and their preferred method of sessions from below. The sessions are supposed to be fun, enjoyable, & interaction with a newer audience. All members are provided with a spreadsheet and are responsible for recording participants details. As well as good photos and videos!. Sessions 2, 3, & 4: Introduction to the basics of the game & fitness Basic Skills – Throwing, Catching, Bowling, Batting & Fielding. o Basic Skills & Games o Coaching & Fitness Session 5 & 6: Mini Tournaments o Mini Cricket Tournament – Participants adopting a team participating in the WWT20. Diamond Cricket / Pair Cricket o Watching WWT20 highlights / Live stream the final (see ICCWT20 – Live coverage Licensees) 10 (3) Cricket for Good – M.A.D Charity Cricket for Good strategy will be utilized through the legacy programme, its aim to assist with “Empowering Adolescent Women & Girls”. What this means to M.A.D. Cricket, is for the legacy to empower the next generation of mothers and daughters, by providing basic life skills as well as cricket skills and fitness. Therefore, each member will be tasked to partner with a local Charitable partner, whom can in return leverage from this program and provide basic education, life skills / workshops to all MAD participants. 11 (4) M.A.D PACK – All members will receive the M.A.D accessories and equipment.
