Ciudad Real, 07/05/2019. Fenavin announced that "Fenavin 2019 is the most international fair held to date and consolidates Castilla-La Mancha and the province of Ciudad Real as a global benchmark in the Spanish wine market".

Campos gave the keynote speech at Fenavin 2019, a fair that takes place in Ciudad Real, and in which Bankia once again sponsors the activities of 'La Cultura y el Vino' and the 'Embajadores del Vino' awards.

"We have been in the region for more than 80 years, we have more than 100 branches and over 500 professionals that know the business, and we are always ready to collaborate and work with you based on the principles of Bankia", he stated that these principles are "professionalism, integrity, commitment and closeness to society of Castilla-La Mancha".

The corporate manager of Bankia in Castilla-La Mancha highlighted that the province of Ciudad Real is "very important" for Bankia, not only from the point of view of business but also "from an emotional point of view" . In this regard, he pointed out that Bankia has a 29% share in the province and more than 150,000 customers.

In addition, in the presence of Bankia's Centre Business Corporate Director, Faustino Ortiz, Campos stated that the bank's market share among business in Ciudad Real, with a turnover of up to 1 million euros, is 24%; 45% for

businesses that invoice between 1 and 6 million and 70% for businesses that invoice over 6 million euros.

"This market share is a source of pride for me, but also a great responsibility, and given this responsibility, it is my commitment and that of my team to make all our financial capabilities available to companies, with the sole aim of providing the best possible service", he stated.

Industry challenges

Campos has highlighted that the importance of Castilla-La Mancha in the wine sector is "indisputable" and has pointed out that the region produces 55.2% of the total national production and "is also the region that exports the highest volume".

He stressed that the industry "continues to face great challenges" because it has to "continue to improve its market positioning", given that the average export price of Spanish wine is 1.47 euros per litre compared to 6.65 euros from France, which means that in spite of exporting, in terms of volume, 6% more than Italy and 49% more than France, in terms of income it obtains 53% less than Italy and 69% less than France.

The corporate manager of Bankia in Castilla-La Mancha has underlined that "this situation is an opportunity from a competitive point of view", which entails continuing to deepen "the need to highlight the value of our wines", as is the case at Fenavin, of "creating powerful foreign marketing networks and advertising and marketing supports" and of "boosting brands and the brand".

In this regard, he remarked that exports have doubled in the last 15 years and that the number of exporting companies has tripled to over 6,350 companies in 2018, but has called for a "reflection" on the size of companies because 67% of the companies with activity abroad export less than 25,000 euros and the five main exporting companies account for 18.8% of total exports.

"The wine industry is experiencing significant and positive growth, but it continues to be immersed in a very competitive global scenario, which requires a process of continuous transformation, including the new digital framework, to

Regarding the main challenges of the financial industry, he mentioned profitability, restoring the reputation of the banking industry and dealing with changes in customer habits. "The goal of all the professionals at Bankia is to make our bank the bank of choice for Spanish companies", he concluded. www.bankia.com www.fenavin.com www.blogbankia.es www.enaccion.bankia.com
