hen I arrive at the farm that Bill Bourne calls home and work, the gleaming Westfi eld Mega S2000 that was the subject of the reader’s Wbuild story in last month’s issue is nosing out of the single garage in which it was built. The 65 registration plate backs up the freshly-built shine of the car: it’s brand new. Even those hard-to-reach-and-clean places are bereft of any fl ecks of dust and the Toyo R888 tyres still have the tell-tale markings that suggest they’ve barely turned. This is a car whose story is yet to be told. As you’ll know if you read part one last month, Bill is no stranger to kit car building. He has owned several Seven-inspired roadsters before and built one of them – an MK Indy – himself. The theme that has been common amongst all of them is competition use.
