About CLAT The selection of candidates into the top Law schools in India is done on the basis of written tests organised by various institutes. The main entrance tests are CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) for admission into the 21 NLUs, AILET for NLU Delhi, SLAT (SLS Pune, Noida, Hyderabad), IPU-CET (for USLLS, GGSIPU), BLAT (for BHU-Law), MHCET (for GLC Mumbai, ILS Pune), etc. CLAT is the most sought after law entrance exam, and preparing for CLAT would prepare you to take any other test as well. It is conducted by the National Law Schools / Universities for admissions to their Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programmes. Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of :- (a) 45% marks in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/OBC/Specially abled persons categories and (b) 40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST Category 2. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May are also eligible for appearing in CLAT examination. However, they would be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission. 3. No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing in CLAT 2018 Areas Tested The exam tests your proficiency in the following areas: · English - including Comprehension and Grammar · General Knowledge / Current Affairs · Mathematics (Elementary only) · Logical Reasoning · Legal Aptitude Legal Aptitude section will test your fundamental aptitude for study of law, research aptitude and problem-solving ability. The questions will be framed on legal propositions and a set of facts satisfying the propositions. The propositions may not be true in the real sense, so you will have to assume the true proposition based on the set of facts, and answer the questions accordingly.
