The environment has its ups and downs, but I can't complain. The people in the school definitely stir up trouble to the point that many teachers will not send their children here, but it's an education so it's okay. Posted: 12/15/2019 by Senior The experience that you receive at Muhlenberg High School is what you make it. I enjoyed my AP classes and would like to see improvement in areas regarding school work for classes that are not important such as college classes and electives. Posted: 10/7/2019 by Alum Muhlenberg High school shaped me into the person I am today. I learned core values, responsibility, and leadership through involvement of clubs and guidance from the incredible teachers. The teachers at Muhlenberg are more than just people who lecture and assign homework. They are real people with stories to share with the desire to create relationships and educate their students. Leaving Muhlenberg was one of my hardest goodbyes I have ever had to make because it was my second home. Posted: 10/5/2019 by Senior I have been going to Muhlenberg my entire life and it has been a great experience for me. The teachers are always there when I need help and they provide me with any resources I made need. While my attendance in Muhlenberg I have made many close friends, which help me throughout school and provide support. Counselor's are excellent with preparing you for the college process and provided many resources to help the process go easier. Staff always make me feel secure when I attend school. One thing I would change would be the class scheduling process because certain classes I wanted to take were not able to fit into my schedule. I have been having excellent school years at Muhlenberg. Posted: 4/28/2019 by Senior What I liked most from Muhlenberg High School and will remember for a lifetime, is Muhlenberg's school spirit. Muhlenberg embodies what it is like to have school pride at sporting events and more. My favorite memory has to be sitting with the fan crew at games wearing our matching t-shirts to cheer on our team. As a school with a lot of spirit, we aspire to make Muhlenberg well known. I thank the administration for uniting the student together and growing a community to make Muhlenberg a school with spirit! Copyright 2020 Realtors Property Resource® LLC. All Rights Reserved. Parks and Recreation Facilities Inventory III. Parks and Recreation Facilities Inventory A. Parks and Recreation Classification System The purpose of developing a park and recreation classification system for a community is to evaluate the total recreation opportunities that are being made available to the public. Too often, a community will “meet the standard” in terms of acreage, but it may meet this provision through only a single park that does not provide for the entire community. Therefore, a system of parks should be developed that provides a combination of local space such as mini-parks, neighborhood parks and community parks with county-wide space such as linear parks, county parks and support by regional or state parks. The parks and recreation facilities inventory in this section identifies each park by its park type category and also list the number of specific facilities that are located within each park. Table 7 defines each park by its typical size and service area of each category, population served by each park, typical features and facilities, and the desirable characteristics of each park in these categories. The categories and descriptions were adapted from the Recreation, Park and Open Space Standards and Guidelines that was published by the National Recreation and Park Association in 1987 and 1995. A park system is generally reviewed and analyzed as a composite of recreation areas, each existing to meet a particular public need. Based on a review of national and regional standards, a parks and recreation area classification system has been developed to reflect the actual conditions and opportunities for Muhlenberg County.
