We just completed the World Series of Housekeeping, and thirteen teams joined the competition this year. A great taco bar complete with ice cream was available for all attendees. This year’s competition was revamped with one event eliminated, and a few new events added. I thought Memphis Trivia was a nice addition, and I know the committee is already considering some sug- gestions for next year. Personally, I’d like to see an event for Executive Housekeepers. Wouldn’t it be great to hear everyone cheer- ing for their Executive Housekeeper???? I would like to thank each property that sponsored a team this year, and to encour- age each hotel property to participate in next year’s competition. (We have 60+ hotels in our association so a goal of 18 teams is re- alistic!!) This was the first year for our newly formed World Series of Housekeeping Com- mittee. The goal was to look at what we’re currently doing, how we can improve, and ways to get more properties involved. If you
