Indiana State University/WTHI-FM, Terre Haute, Indiana Color Commentator, Back-up Play-by-Play Announcer for ISU football and basketball broadcasts. 50,000-watt FM station was "Official Voice of Indiana State University." September 1982 - March 1983. United Press International, Indianapolis Bureau Terre Haute Stringer covered area sporting events on assignment. Also assisted State Sports Editor in writing/coverage of various events. 1980 -- 1984. Terre Haute Star Newspaper, Terre Haute, Indiana Sportswriter duties included involvement in standard newsroom procedures (including use of VDT), as well as reporting high school and college sporting events on assignment. September 1981 - February 1982. WBAK-TV (ABC Affiliate), Terre Haute, Indiana Sports Director/Account Executive duties included Sports Anchor for evening newscast, preparation and production of sports programming and all other responsibilities in the department. Assumed a general sales list of more than 60 accounts; serviced accounts, copy writing, production and commercials. November 1980 - August 1981. WAAC-FM (CBS Affiliate), Terre Haute, Indiana Sports Director duties included producing and delivering 17 sports shows each week, producing and promoting sports programming at the station, hosting two call-in sports shows each week, communication with CBS Network. July - December 1980. WAAC-FM (CBS Affiliate), Terre Haute, Indiana Account Executive duties included selling time, concurrently with sports responsibilities. Initially sold sports sponsorships and packages, then worked general sales account list. September - December 1980. WISU-FM, Terre Haute, Indiana Operations Manager awarded Graduate Assistantship to oversee all operations of 11,000-watt university station. Duties included production/direction of studio programming. Also involved in community ascertainment research. Summer 1980. WISU- FM, Terre Haute, Indiana Sports Director responsible for two hours of regular weekly programming, as well as Indiana State University football, basketball and baseball games. Play-by-play color, statistician, remote engineer, public address announcer. Produced, directed statewide Sycamore Sports Network for coverage of Missouri Valley Post- Season Basketball Tournament and ISU Baseball. Supervised 12-member staff. Granted 70% increase in regular programming during time as Sports Director. August 1979 - May 1979. I have chosen to organize the final project results around these questions and how they were specifically answered through conducting my creative project. “Can an independent artist record, mix, produce, promote, and distribute their own original work successfully?” o To answer this part of the research thoroughly, I will give a detailed recitation of the planning and execution of this project. This project began with me writing an original song entitled “Upside Down.” After composing it, I went to my project advisor, Mark Bunce, and reserved a day in the Kuhlin Center recording studio on BGSU’s campus to record the song. I then arranged additional music for the song- writing parts for trombone, trumpet, alto saxophone, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, drums, piano, and vocals.

EDRS PRICE MF-$0.76 HC-$4.43 Plus Postage DESCRIPTORS *Cooperative Programs; *Educational Radio; Higher Education; *Programing (Broadcast); *Questionnaires; Shared Services; Statistical Data; Tables (Data) IDENTIFIERS Cooperative Program Tape Networks ABSTRACT Over 200 noncommercial radio stations responded to a survey to gather data on the characteristics of member stations and to sample the opinion of nonmembers toward a cooperative network concept. A second survey of 18 networks sought to gather indepth information on network operation. Results showed that 22.2 percent of the stations surveyed were participating in program cooperatives, and over 79 percent felt that network participation would be beneficial. It was concluded that the cooperative program tape network should continue in order to fulfill specialized programing needs. A copy of the two questionnaires, the letter of transmittal, and the mailing list is appended. A list of the networks that participated in the study, 12 statistical tables, and a 20-item bibliography are included. Before being promoted to director of Campus Life in 2014, you served as the associate director of Union Board and Family Services for 10 years. What has been the biggest change in adapting to your new role? A. Serving as the associate director I had direct responsibilities for advising the Hulman Memorial Student Union Board including the oi cers and committees. In my role as the director, I do not have those daily interactions, which is dii cult at times. I loved working with the students involved in the committees. Q. As the director of Campus Life, you oversee a wide array of organizations and departments on campus. What do you enjoy most about overseeing such a diverse range of people? A.
