Cajun Chicken Lasagna During the morning, we will discuss what subjects you request/ suggest we should cover this year. Please give this some thought and provide us your feedback. New Subject: Timelines Several of you have asked this: “How do I KNOW that I have the right person in my Family Tree?” We’ve all asked ourselves this very same question! We’ll examine Timelines to see how they could help provide us PROOF! We’ll look at some examples and then each of you will do a Timeline on one of your ancestors. Be thinking about which individual or individuals in your Family line you would choose and bring any records you think you may need. And, by the way, this is one of those times you want to bring pencils and erasers. Doesn’t this sound like fun? We’ll see you then. Jackie Gary Cathy Farquhar

ver the past 80 years, Cooke County Electric Cooperative OAssociation has solidified itself as the co-op that serves its communities with reliable energy and prides itself on providing only the highest quality of customer service. For those who have been served by Cooke County Electric, you understand that our roots run deep within our members of Cooke, Montague, Wise, Grayson and Denton counties. You understand that since 1938, our service has grown to accommodate more than 3,200 miles of overhead and underground power lines. You understand that our membership has ballooned from just 98 to more than 10,000. All this growth occurred while we remained true to our co- op’s original mission of being completely dedicated to our membership and the communities we serve. The co-op’s history can never be altered, and to continue our legacy and build upon our founding principles, Cooke County Electric is excited to unveil our new name and logo. While nothing is changing besides our name and logo, we are taking our own advice by making sure we position ourselves to be the very best energy cooperative that we can be. For us, that just means a slight facelift. We are the same group we’ve always been — supporting the community, waving to our neighbors and providing our five-county service areas with reliable energy and proven service. We are now PenTex Energy. The name PenTex Energy combines both our five-county service area and our Texas heritage. Our new logo boasts a distinguishable orange hue that is just as bright as our future and a deep slate blue that is as rich as our history. The new name and logo pay homage to our incredible past, while demonstrating a clear, bright path to our future. We’ve dedicated the past 80 years to building the co-op with and for our members, and now we are set for the next 80 years and beyond.
