This is a great occasion in the lives of all the children. It is also due recognition for the outstanding work of the staff and also a pretty emotional day for the parents. Just looking around, the happy smiling faces says so much about the environment here at the CAP Center. Our children have learned so much. The school places great value on community, learning and fun. I feel really delighted at the way the children love coming here to school and look forward to what they learn. Seeing the big smiles on their faces in the morning is fantastic. They have learned to love learning and that skill will help them so much as they progress with their education. Life is not just about learning to read and write. They are important, but just as important is love and friendship. This school places great emphasis on being part of the community. This is a lifelong skill which will help all of us flourish. It may seem slightly old fashioned but a sense of community to me is very important to the future of our nation and our children. So, thank you to the teachers, the love you have for the children shines through in their results and thank you to all the parents who have willingly given their time. Looking ahead our children are very well equiped to take on the next part of their educational lives. They have strong foundations and we feel very confident that we have given the children a great start in life. They have learned many priceless lessons. Take on challenges, be loving, love learning, be part of the community, laugh and be all you can be. What parent would not give a million dollars for their children to have that attitude all their lives. Thank you. One of the most important days of our life, graduation is a day which marks the commence of a new phase of our life. Graduation paves the way for our career as well for further studies. Graduation is an important event of every individual͛s life, who could enjoy the privilege of education, it is a turning point from when it is time to take responsibilities and earn one ͚s own bread ideally. Though there are people who do start taking responsibilities from a very tender age Graduation can be the second most memorable moment in a person's life (marriage being the first one!). It is a moment when you celebrate your accomplishments with your peers. The graduation ceremony is a melange of emotions, along with pride and satisfaction there is this anxiety about future and a sinking feeling about bidding farewell to friends and alma materThis day marks the years of work that have gone into achieving something you really wanted, making it a day awaited with bated breath. Thank you very much for your kind introduction. I am very honored to be with you today as you celebrate. Each time you look at your diploma, remember that you are still a student, still learning how to best treasure your connection to others. Pick up the phone. Send an e-mail. Write a letter. Kiss your Mom. Hug your Dad. Get a life in. I stand here a symbol of what is possible when you believe in the dream of your own life. Every one of us has a calling. There is a reason why you are here. I know this for sure our calling isn't something that somebody can tell you about. It's what you feel. It's a part of your life force. It is the thing that gives you juice. The thing that are you supposed to do. And nobody can tell you what that is. You know it inside yourself. Oh, yes. So have no fear. Have no fear. God has got your back. And sometimes, sometimes you find out what you are supposed to be doing by doing the things you are not supposed to do. So don't expect the perfect job that defines your life's work to come along next week. If that happens, take the blessing and run with it. But, if not, be grateful to be on the path where you eventually want to live. Abide in the space of gratitude, because this is what I know for sure. That only through being grateful for how far you've come in your past can you leave room for more blessings to flow. Blessings flow in the space of gratitude. Everything in your life is happening to teach you more about yourself so even in a crisis, be grateful. When disappointed, be grateful. When things aren't going the way you want them to, be grateful that you have sense enough to turn it around. There are these two young fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says "Morning, boys. How's the water?" And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes "What the hell is water?" ... simple awareness; awareness of what is so real and essential, so hidden in plain sight all around us, all the time, that we have to keep reminding ourselves over and over: "This is water." "This is water." ... I'd like to share some of that advice with you. This concludes my offering to you on your big day: the simplest and best advice I could think of« advice that I will continue to follow as my own career continues: ==> Grow your self-confidence« and move quickly to repair it when it is damaged by the setbacks and failures and mistakes that lie ahead for us all. ==> Continue to grow intellectually« and listen to the little alarm inside you that sounds when stagnation or boredom« or becoming a know-it-all« begin to creep up on your. ==> Tackle the toughest jobs and challenges« and watch yourself do more« and learn more« than you ever dreamed possible. ==> Understand the difference between process and purpose« and never begin a day without being able to articulate that purpose« even if it's only to yourself. ==> Know yourself« particularly your weaknesses« and don't let a day pass without moving toward eliminating them. ==> And understand that whatever else may fail you« whatever bad luck or failure may befall you« your personal integrity is always in your own hands and can never be taken from you. Congratulations to you all« and to the families that love you and have supported you during these important years. With the self-confidence you have earned, it is time for you to go out and make them even prouder. I want to leave you with one final thought. We live in a world where technology has connected us in ways that we could never have imagined even a decade ago.

They are best known for their singles "Girl All The Bad Guys Want" in 2002 on Drunk Enough To Dance which was nominated for a 2003 Grammy Award for "Best Pop Performance by a Group or Duo" and "1985" (originally written by Mitch Allan of SR-71) in 2004 on A Hangover You Don't Deserve. Speaking with Songfacts about "Girl All The Bad Girls Want" in a 2010 interview, Reddick said: "'Girl All The Bad Guys Want' was my very first co-write ever, and me and Butch Walker sat in a room and literally wrote that song in 30 minutes. I mean, it was done." The band's name is derived from comedian Steve Martin's "Bowling for Sh*t" routine from his 1978 comedy album, Wild and Crazy Guy, itself a reference to Bowling for Dollars. Jaret Reddick has also stated that at the end of his last performance with his old band one of the members came on stage and proclaimed "Come back next week when we play with our new band.

The mayor’s housing working group presented suggestions earlier this year which were incorporated into the com- prehensive program. “The quality of Lakewood’s hous- ing stock is a key factor in its success or failure in the years to come,” state Mayor FitzGerald. “New challenges demand that Lakewood reassess its housing strategy. While Lakewood cannot control national economic downturns or banking policies, it can control its own investment strategies and building code enforcement efforts.” Mayor’s FitzGerald’s housing ini- tiative takes a two-pronged approach: it encourages investment by homeown- ers, while streamlining and toughening enforcement measures. I’m not Grammy- and Emmy-nominated pop/punk band with over a million album saying I don’t like that stuff, but for us it’s always been a case of ‘Let’s never sales to their credit. “If you compare our first album to our 10th one, you do that!’ We want to be that point of somebody’s day where they can get off could be like, ‘Let’s see… Well, their voices finally changed, and they got a work and put us in and think, “Okay, yeah: Everything else sucks, but this is lot better musically, but they still sound like the same guys to me,” Reddick awesome.” says, the grin audible in his North Texas drawl. “Man, I would hope we’re still the same guys! Can you imagine what a bummer it’d be if we Fittingly, “awesome” was an operative word during the Sorry for Partyin’ weren’t?” sessions. • American Pie
An Explanation of the Song, American Pie AMERICAN PIE by Don McLean The entire song is a tribute to Buddy Holly and a commentary on how rock and roll changed in the years since his death. McLean seems to be lamenting the lack of "danceable" music in rock and roll and (in part) attributing that lack to the absence of Buddy Holly et. al. (Verse 1) A long, long time ago... "American Pie" reached #1 in the US in 1972, but the album containing it was released in 1971. Buddy Holly died in 1959. I can still remember how That music used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance, That I could make those people dance, And maybe they'd be happy for a while. One of early rock and roll's functions was to provide dance music for various social events. McLean recalls his desire to become a musician playing that sort of music. But February made me shiver, Buddy Holly died on February 3, 1959 in a plane crash in Iowa during a snowstorm. With every paper I'd deliver, Don McLean's only job besides being a full-time singer-songwriter was being a paperboy. Bad news on the doorstep... I couldn't take one more step. I can't remember if I cried When I read about his widowed bride Holly's recent bride was pregnant when the crash took place; she had a miscarriage shortly afterward. But something touched me deep inside, The day the music died. The same plane crash that killed Buddy Holly also took the lives of Richie Valens ("La Bamba") and The Big Bopper ("Chantilly Lace").
