God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you And whispered, "Come with me."

It comes with our deepest regrets to announce the passing of Darlene Bernice Marshall. (November 12, 1938) She went peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones.

Darlene will be remembered for her charismatic personality, her keen sense of humor, her infinite generosity and willingness to give anyone, Anything... Or at the very least make sure that you were well-fed. But mostly, she will be remembered for the amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and Nanny that she was.

She will be truly missed by her husband Robert Marshall, her daughters Shelly (Jacques), Coreen (Gary) and Noreen, her 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Please join us for a celebration of Life, to be held in Darlene's honor. on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 2:00pm at the Canal Flats Civic Centre.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.

Canal Flats is changing. The mill closure is a big challenge. An Economic Development Strategy is being created to carve out a future that won't look like the past.

"Legacy" is about creating new opportunities that our children and grandchildren could take advantage of. Canal Flats needs to create its future and needs your input and ideas. This is a once in a generation opportunity to think about the intersection Canal Flats sits Box 159, 8866 Grainger Rd., at, and hopefully (with the support and involvement of residents) undertake some bold Canal Flats, B.C. V0B 1B0 actions with a Strategy in place.
