10 The Central Oregon Flyfisher | MAY 2018 Thank you Crooked River Volunteers Many club members enjoy fishing the beautiful Crooked River throughout the year so it is nice to give back once and awhile. More 2 than 40 volunteers braved the 3 very strong winds of April 7th for the annual COF Crooked River Cleanup. After the cleanup we enjoyed a sunny and pleasant lunch back at the Big Bend Campground. A few volunteers, but not very many, took the opportunity to fish the afternoon. That wind was brutal 1 downstream from Big Bend. 4

April 14th saw over 130 COF supporters show up at the River House for an evening of fun and food. The club netted about $14,000 to continue it’s on-going programs.
