Program Itinerary:
Day Location Activities
● Participants depart the US, overnight flight to Day 1 In Flight Berlin. ● Arrive in Berlin 1:40pm ● Participants will be met at the airport by Matthias Hass and will transfer to the Hotel4Youth. ● Hotel Check-in. Rooms will be available at 3:00pm at the latest but guests will be able to leave their Day 2 Berlin luggage with the hotel. ● Group meeting and orientation to the program. ● Walk through Berlin around Hackescher Markt ● Dinner at local restaurant ● Reflection and Discussion ● Buffet breakfast at Hotel4Youth. ● Excursion to the Holocaust Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, memorials to other victim groups, the Brandenburg gate, and the Reichstag, Berlin Day 3 ● Lunch ● Visit to Topography of Terror, and site of the Berlin Wall. ● Dinner at a local restaurant. ● Time for discussion and reflection ● Buffet breakfast at Hotel4Youth. ● Excursion to the S-Bahn station Grunewald and the monuments at “Gleis 17” (track 17) ● Lunch
Berlin ● Visit to the House of the Wannsee Conference Day 4 Memorial and Education Site ● Evaluation of Berlin visit and workshop preparation for Poland ● Dinner at a local restaurant. ● Buffet breakfast at Hotel4Youth. ● Bus ride to Oswiecim ● Lunch en route ● Arrive in Oswiecim at the Center for Dialogue and Oświęcim Day 5 Prayer (CdiM). ● 6:00pm Hot Supper at CDiM ● Brief welcome by staff of the Center. ● Settle into rooms.
