The University has 31,780 undergraduate students and more than 2,000 faculty.
Valladolid is a reasonably large city to the northwest of Madrid. It is the capital of Castile-Leon and a major regional center, and has approximately 322, 000 inhabitants. Location: By plane : There are daily flights to Valladolid Airport (Villanubla) from Paris, Lisbon and Barcelona and there are flights to Madrid Airport (Barajas) from all over the world. From Madrid to Valladolid you can travel: By train (from the airport): There are more than 10 trains from Chamartin Railway Station to Valladolid every day. The best way to get to the Chamartin Railway Station from the airport is by taxi (about €20). By coach (from the airport): There is a coach every hour from 7.30am to 00.30am from Mendez Alvaro Coach Station. The coach company is ALSA. The best way to get to the Coach Station from the airport is by taxi (about €20). By train: There is a daily train between Valladolid and Paris-Austerlitz Railway Station. By coach: There are some international services during some months of the year. Costs: Housing: Students interested in applying for University accommodation must send the Accommodation Application Form, duly filled to the Servicio de Relaciones Internacionales (Casa del Estudiante 2 nd Floor, Real de Burgos, s/n 47011 Valladolid, Spain). Deadline for full academic year and 1 st term students is 30 th June, for 2 nd term students the deadline is 31 st December. Insurance: It is advisable to take out insurance for your stay abroad especially if you are going to be taking laptops with you.
You will need to obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) this has now replaced the old E111 form. If you already have an EHIC please ensure that it is valid for the length of your stay.
