The survey will ask questions about your views and experiences of your local area. We hope this study will help us understand why people hold different opinions about their neighbourhood, and reasons why these opinions and experiences change or stay the same.

The research is an independent academic survey funded by the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment. It has been approved by the University's Research Ethics Committee. There should be no risks to individuals participating in this survey beyond those that exist in daily life.

If you participate, you will be asked to complete an online survey during June 2015, a similar survey later in the year, and further surveys in June 2016 and June 2017. Each should take ten to fifteen minutes to complete. You will be free to withdraw from the research at any time by contacting the lead researcher, Rachel Aldred ([email protected] / 020 7911 5021).

Your participation in this research will be confidential. Your personal data will be stored securely and only accessed by the lead researcher. Information that you provide in the survey will be anonymised before being analysed and any potentially identifying data will be removed from the survey dataset.

Our study results may be written up in academic journals, in reports, and online. Data will be averaged and reported in aggregate (except for text responses to open questions, which may be quoted anonymously as examples of people's opinions).
