Meat Trade Statistics South African Pork Industry Report MEAT TRADE STATISTICS SOUTH AFRICAN PORK INDUSTRY REPORT April 2021 In this report South Africa exported 881 152kg of pork products to 17 countries at an average export price of R40.10/kg. Export quantities increased by 5.5% from March to April 2021, with exports to Lesotho, Mozambique and Namibia increasing. Import volumes reached 2 521 706kg and originated from 8 countries at an average import price of R42.89/kg.     20 11 TOLL TARIFFS AND DISCOUNT STRUCTURE GAUTENG FREEWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (GFIP) E-TOLL TARIFFS Traffi c on Gauteng’s freeways are steadily increasing, thereby creating more congestion and stunting the growth of the economy. Peak hours are extended with approximately 15 minutes every year and roads are exceeding there life span. These were some of the challenges facing the South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) to deliver on their mandate and contribute to the development of South Africa. SANRAL, an agency of the Ministry of Transport is mandated to manage the national road network in South Africa and needed to develop a solution to meet these challenges. The original area proposed by Eskom for the continuous ashing facility is approximately 800 ha, for the remaining life of 41 years for this power station, which is located on the eastern and southern portion of the existing Tutuka Power Station ash disposal facility.

The report is available in printed and electronic formats and is presented in two volumes: • Volume 1: Integrated Report is a narrative on major development during the year combined with key statistics that indicate value generated in various ways. • Volume 2: Annual Financial Statements contains the sections on corporate governance and delivery against key performance indicators, in addition to the financial statements. 2018 is the second year in which SANRAL has adopted the practice of integrated reporting, having previously been guided solely by the approach adopted in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). The agency has attempted to demonstrate the varied dimensions of its work and indicate how they are strategically coherent. It has continued to comply with the reporting requirements of the PFMA while incorporating major principles of integrated reporting. This new approach is supported by the adoption of an integrated planning framework in SANRAL’s new strategy, Horizon 2030. In selecting qualitative and quantitative information for the report, the agency has been guided by Horizon 2030 and the principles of disclosure and materiality.
