The WRSFV is a local non-profi t registered charity that supports women and children who are dealing with the impacts of violence in their lives. Some of WRSFV’s specialized programs include emergency Seniors Society shelter for women and children, second stage affordable housing as well as outreach support, counselling programs, and Baby’s Best Chance in Valentine’s Tea Dance Mission. Although the agency receives support from all levels of government, as well as from local service February 15th clubs, businesses, and individual donors, the society must continuously engage in raising supplemental 1-4 pm funds to meet the needs of these busy programs.
