TONY & BEV HURRY P A G E 5 P A G E 6 THE GLORY GLORY SIAMESE LITTER by Tony Hurry As a South Sydney Rabbitohs tragic for over 50 years, October 2014 has been a long awaited month for celebration!!! Yes my beloved National Rugby League team won the pinnacle of their sport by winning the Grand Final defeating the Canterbury- Bankstown Bulldogs 30 – 6. It’s their first title since 1971 and ended 43 years of heartbreak which in 2000 found them excluded from the NRL competition then after litigation and high-profile public campaigns, saw the club readmitted into the competi- tion for the 2002 season. The 2014 NRL Grand Final was the most-watched club game in the history of rugby league. The crowd of 83,833 was the largest attendance at a sporting event at Stadium Australia since its 2001 reconfiguration. SO WHY AM I TELLING YOU ALL THIS………..BECAUSE I HOLD THE PEN To continue the week of Glory Glory, my 11th October birthday was celebrated with the birth of our Oriemme’s litter. She waited until 12.02am to have kitten one, three more in the hour then a five hours break before provid- ing two more in the seventh hour. Our USA import has not been the best of Mums and this was always to be her last litter prior to us having her desexed. Losing two (1 x stillborn and 1 x euthanased) this confirmed our deci- sion. Glory Glory again as one of the surviving babies is a female who will remain with us at Kalinya Siamese to contin- ue our journey of breeding these wonderful creatures. So the tragic that I am found no better way to celebrate the significance of the Rabbitohs historic and memora- ble victory than to name the litter in honour of some of its players. I therefore introduce to you : BURGESS — in honour of the brothers Sam, George, Tom and Luke who were invincible (blue point male) SUTTON —Team Captain and as a Souths Junior, holds all time first grade games record (seal point male) for South Sydney INGLIS — “G.I.” Greg Inglis is one of the genuine superstars of the NRL, An inspiration to (blue point male) so many both on and off the field MADGE GLORY GLORY — to celebrate this remarkable achievement of Rabbitoh’s Coach, (seal point female) Michael Maguire bringing Glory Glory back to Redfern in three short years since joining the club in 2012 . And so ends my week of celebration……but after five decades of giving support to the Red and Green, my passion will live on long and hard to remind all those who will listen and even those who will not, that perseverance, dedication, loyalty and hard work in so many facts of our life will be reward- ed……… JUST ASK THE 2014 NRL PREMIERS, THE SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS!!!!!!!! • No. 7 National Rugby League
Submission No 7 INQUIRY INTO FAIR TRADING AMENDMENT (TICKET RESELLING) BILL 2014 Organisation: National Rugby League Date received: 23/10/2014 23 October 2014 The Hon Sarah Mitchell MLC General Purpose Standing Committee No. 4 Parliament House Macquarie St Sydney NSW 2000 Dear Ms Mitchell Submission to the Fair Trading Amendment (Ticket Reselling) Bill 2014 Inquiry The NRL has been working with the NSW Government since 2012 in an effort to develop a best practice model to deal with the issue of ticket-scalping. We are very supportive of the Fair Trading Amendment (Ticket Reselling) Bill (the Bill) and commend the NSW Government for its efforts to see the legislation passed. There has been extensive consultation on the Bill, which was introduced into the Parliament in November 2013, almost 12 months ago. We understand that despite the previous 12 months of consultation and discussion the Legislative Council has referred the Bill to General Purpose Standing Committee 4 (GPSC 4) so that there can be close examination of the legislation and its objectives. The NRL has met with members of the Government and Opposition to discuss various components of the Bill and we are hopeful of that the legislation will be passed by this Parliament. In addition the NRL has been working with the Coalition of Major Professional and Participation Sports (COMPPS) which has met with members of the Crossbench to discuss the legislation. Throughout this consultative process the NRL, along with our colleagues from other sports represented by COMPPS, have indicated there is a need to provide our fans with protections from unscrupulous ticket scalpers.

Thank you for purchasing this guide and continuing to support the site. We are excited to be back for another year and looking forward to bringing you more quality SuperCoach information. An overview of this years guide is provided below: Stats, commentary and SuperCoach ratings for EVERY contracted NRL player (as at 25 Jan 2017) § These ratings are all written from a SuperCoach perspective. - Dean Whare is rated a B, whilst James Tedesco is also rated a B. So even though Tedesco is largely considered a better player than Whare, Whare has the same SuperCoach rating this year as he is expected to be one of the better cash cows. § These ratings are our round 1 ratings for each player. - For example, someone who we expect to be an early season cash cow will have a much higher rating than someone who we expect could be a mid or late season cash cow. The early season cash cow is more valuable as they will generate cash much earlier in the season.
