PHILIPPINE STATISTICS AUTHORITY Antique Provincial Statistical Office No. 22, Series of 2017 Highlights on Household Population, Number of Households, and Average Household Size of the Province of Antique (2015 Census of Population) Household population comprises 99.8 percent of the total population The household population of the province of Antique reached 581,037persons in 2015. This is 35,833 higher than the 545,204 household population reported in 2010, and 108,476 more than the 472,561 household population posted in 2000. The 2015 household population comprised 99.8 percent of the total Antique population, while the remaining 0.2 percent is comprised of the institutional population or those residing in collective or institutional living quarters such as hospitals, orphanages, and military camps; and Filipinos in Philippine embassies, consulates, and missions abroad. Refer to Table 1 and Figure 1. The institutional population went up to 975 in 2015 from 261 and 827 in 2000 and 2010, respectively. Table 1. See Table 2 and Figure 2. Among the province’s 18 municipalities, San Jose, the capital municipality had the most number of households with 13,561, followed by the municipality of Sibalom with 13,213 and Hamtic with 10,535. The municipality of Belison posted the least number of households with 3,083. Refer to Table 3. Average household size remains at 4.5 persons The province’s average household size (AHS) was 4.5 persons in 2015.It is also the same figure as in 2000 and 2010. Refer to Table 2. The municipalities of San Remigio and T. Fornier registered the highest AHS both with 4.8 persons, followed by Anini-y, Hamtic, San Jose, Sibalom and Valderrama with 4.6 persons.
