Ses deux FRANCE meilleurs amis, Bubulle la baleine qui parle et le capitaine Flibuste, remplis- sent sa tête de points de vue opposés sur le bien et le mal, et Flapjack accepte tous ces points de vue sans les remettre en cause. Bubulle clame, que le meilleur moyen de vaincre un ennemi est de s’en faire un ami, et le capitaine Flibuste clame que le meilleur moyen de vaincre un ennemi est d’attendre qu’il tourne les talons et de lui mettre un coup de pied au derrière. Flapjack, les croit tous les deux de tout son coeur. Il se retrouve constamment dans des situations épineuses, faisant une confiance aveugle à ses deux amis. Aujourd’hui, il n’aspire qu’à une chose devenir un grand aventurier comme le capitaine Flibuste.
