2018 CFL COMBINE PARTICIPANTS ANNOUNCED

More than 170 players to compete in three regional combines across the country and one national combine in Winnipeg

TORONTO – League (CFL) prospects will vie for an invitation to the CFL Combine presented by adidas starting Wednesday, March 7 in . For the sixth consecutive year, the CFL will host a trio of regional combines ahead of the CFL Combine. Following the Eastern Regional Combine in Montreal, will host the Regional Combine on March 9 and Winnipeg will host the Western Regional Combine on March 22.

The CFL, with input from all teams, will then invite additional players from the regional combines to the national event in Winnipeg depending on player performance. Each regional combine will invite approximately 40 to 50 players.

The CFL Combine presented by adidas will take place in Winnipeg as part of the Mark’s CFL Week festivities where top prospects will compete in front of CFL coaches, general managers and player personnel on March 24-25.

Last year, 15 players from regional combines were extended an invitation to the CFL Combine, including 11 of those players being selected in the 2017 CFL Draft.

The top players eligible for the upcoming 2018 CFL Draft, as ranked collectively by the teams and the league office, are invited to attend the CFL Combine presented by adidas.

About the CFL Combine

The CFL Combine presented by adidas will take place at the RBC Convention Centre and at the University of Winnipeg in Winnipeg, . The players will undergo medical examinations, performance, strength and speed tests, on-field football drills and team interviews over the three-day combine in front of general managers, coaches and scouts from all teams.

Regional Combine Players drafted in the 2017 CFL Draft

Last year’s regional combines accumulated an additional 15 invites to the CFL Combine, with 11 players selected in the 2017 CFL Draft including:

• Julan Lynch, a receiver from the University of (Western Regional), was selected in the second round, 17th overall, by the Stampeders. • Anthony Gosselin, a running back for the University of Sherbrooke (Eastern Regional), was selected in the second round, 18th overall, by the REDBLACKS. • Ante Milanovic-Litre, a running back from Simon Fraser University (Western Regional), was selected in the fourth round, 28th overall, by the Calgary Stampeders. • Alex Morrison, a receiver from the University of (Western Regional), was selected in the fourth round, 29th overall, by the Montreal Alouettes. • Jordan Hoover, a receiver from the University of Waterloo (Ontario Regional), was selected in the fourth round, 31st overall, by the Eskimos.
