Southern Italian Delight Tour Calabria, Basilicata, Puglia & Greek Islands – “heel to toe” tour

tour. We also had the opportunity to visit a traditional “burrata” cheese making factory in Alberbello and an

olive oil producing factory in Lecce which is considered the biggest olive oil producing region in Italy. The “oliveto” we visited had over 70,000 olive trees of which 70 where more than 2,000 years old!

We then went to the east coast, in the Puglia region – the heel of Italy. We visited – famous for the birthplace of

Domenico Modugno, , and the UNESCO Heritage listed “trulli” houses.

Our tour would not be complete without our Greek Islands cruise. We stopped in the busy ports of Venice and Kotor (Montenegro), and on the islands of Crete, Santorini and Corfu.
