Profesor Mualaf Jerman Sekarang Sudah Μmurtad¶
Profesor Mualaf Jerman Sudah Murtad PROFESOR MUALAF JERMAN SEKARANG SUDAH µMURTAD¶ Oleh Dr. Sami Alrabaa (penulis Kuwait Times) 05 Oct, 2008 Murtad disini maksudnya secara de facto. Prof. Sven (Muhammad) Kalisch Keberanian ahli Islam seperti Prof. Kalisch mengungkapkan pendapat patut diacungkan jempol, mengingat banyak orang lain ketakutan mengritik Islam karena segala macam intimidasi Muslim. Sewaktu aku menentang pendapatnya sambil menunjukkan ayat -ayat keji Qur¶an yang membujuk Muslim utk melakukan kekerasan, kebencian, dan diskrimina si atas wanita (silakan periksa Islam is a violent Faith / Islam adalah Agama Penuh Kekerasan. Letter from the Dean
C News fromIR the University of ChicagoC DivinityA School STAGE DIRECTIONS: SCENE TWO. MY ROOM 101. (Enter Miriam.) A woman in her early 60s strides to the front of a large lecture hall, dark wood paneling. She waits for the class to quiet down, for the school bell to fade away. MIRIAM: (holding the book up again) This is the most powerful, and the most dangerous…text… inA merican culture today. And so we’d better try to understand what’s in it, don’t you think?* Earlier this month I stood backstage at Joe’s their experiences, beliefs and values, she Pub, a venue for public performance on the goes on to share much more of her own on east side of New York City, with playwrights day one (including a recurrent childhood Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare, actors memory) than many teachers (myself F. But in popular author Bruce Feiler, waiting to go the performance I did have fun with Miriam; out front and do a dramatic reading of four I camped it up a bit with “first day of the scenes from a play in progress, The Good from the semester” bravura, playing to a crowd of Book. Confronting Assad's Anti-Semitism in Germany | the Washington Institute
MENU Policy Analysis / Fikra Forum New Forms of Old Hate: Confronting Assad’s Anti-Semitism in Germany by Rawan Osman Feb 6, 2020 Also available in Arabic ABOUT THE AUTHORS Rawan Osman Rawan Osman was born in Damascus and raised in Lebanon. After high school, Osman moved back to Syria and in 2011, during the beginning of the unrest, left for France. In 2018, Osman moved to Strasbourg and started working on her first book, "The Israelis, Friends or Foes." Brief Analysis ith this year’s International Holocaust Remembrance Day recognizing the 75th anniversary of the freeing W of Auschwitz, it is also important for the German public to address the potential implications of a new wave of anti-Semitism within its borders. Germany’s notable acceptance of over one million refugees from Syria, where anti-Semitic propaganda has been a key feature of the Assad family’s overall messaging, has both triggered both a rise in Germany’s far-right and brought Germany’s Jewish populations into contact with a new type of anti- Semitism developed as one method of control in the Assad dictatorship. The uncritically anti-Israel and anti-Semitic tropes that have been taught, promoted, or tolerated in Syria pose a new set of challenges to German authorities who are still wrestling with their country’s past. Germany, because of its history, has accepted upon itself a greater responsibility than other European countries to take in refugees. Now it must take on another major responsibility: effectively educating these communities about the Holocaust and the insidious nature of anti-Semitism. -

Understanding the Concept of Islamic Sufism
Journal of Education & Social Policy Vol. 1 No. 1; June 2014 Understanding the Concept of Islamic Sufism Shahida Bilqies Research Scholar, Shah-i-Hamadan Institute of Islamic Studies University of Kashmir, Srinagar-190006 Jammu and Kashmir, India. Sufism, being the marrow of the bone or the inner dimension of the Islamic revelation, is the means par excellence whereby Tawhid is achieved. All Muslims believe in Unity as expressed in the most Universal sense possible by the Shahadah, la ilaha ill’Allah. The Sufi has realized the mysteries of Tawhid, who knows what this assertion means. It is only he who sees God everywhere.1 Sufism can also be explained from the perspective of the three basic religious attitudes mentioned in the Qur’an. These are the attitudes of Islam, Iman and Ihsan. There is a Hadith of the Prophet (saw) which describes the three attitudes separately as components of Din (religion), while several other traditions in the Kitab-ul-Iman of Sahih Bukhari discuss Islam and Iman as distinct attitudes varying in religious significance. These are also mentioned as having various degrees of intensity and varieties in themselves. The attitude of Islam, which has given its name to the Islamic religion, means Submission to the Will of Allah. This is the minimum qualification for being a Muslim. Technically, it implies an acceptance, even if only formal, of the teachings contained in the Qur’an and the Traditions of the Prophet (saw). Iman is a more advanced stage in the field of religion than Islam. It designates a further penetration into the heart of religion and a firm faith in its teachings. -

Women Oppressed in the Name of Culture and Religion Saudi Arabia and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women
MALMÖ UNIVERSITY HR 61‐90 GLOBAL AND POLITICAL STUDIES AUTUMN 2010 HUMAN RIGHTS SUPERVISOR: ANNA BRUCE Women oppressed in the name of culture and religion Saudi Arabia and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women Elin Andersson & Linn Togelius Abstract In Saudi Arabia women are legal minors who need permission from a male guardian in, among others, matters concerning education, employment and health care. Despite the obvious subordination of women in the country, Saudi Arabia has ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, with a reservation saying that in cases of contradiction between the Convention and Islamic law they do not obligate themselves to follow the rules of the Convention. Respecting the culture, tradition and religion of non-western societies is important in the work with implementing international human rights. However, in the case of Saudi Arabia, it seems like the cultural and religious claims merely function as justification of an institutional oppression of women. This institutional practice of oppression is unique and taken to the extreme, but oppression of women in itself is a global phenomenon, which is not connected to a specific culture. Key words: Saudi Arabia, CEDAW, women’s rights, Feminism, Cultural Relativism, Islamic law 1 Contents 1 Introduction ............................................................................................................................. 4 1.2 Aim and research questions ............................................................................................. -
Faces of American Islam
Faces of American Islam By DANIEL PIPES AND KHALID DURAN yjT JUR RESPECTIVE BOOKSHELVES groan under the weight of M I I books bearing titles like Islam and the ^est, The Future of m / Islam and the West, and The Islamic World and the West. • X What is striking about these books — all quite recently writ- V_^^ ten and published -^ is the anachronism of their geographic premise. With millions of Muslims now living in the West, especially in North America and Western Europe, the old dichotomy of Islam and the West exists no more. This presence of Muslims in the West has profound importance for both civilizations involved, the Western and the Islamic, and has a potential for both good and ill. Indeed, looking ahead, it is hard to see any other cultural interaction quite so fraught with implications as this one. As has become evident of late, a vast number of Muslims, those living in Europe and the Americas no less than those elsewhere, harbor an intense hostihty to the West. For most Muslims, this mix of envy and resentment remains a latent sentiment, but for some it acquires operational significance. Merely to conjure the names of AyatoUah Khomeini, Muammar Qaddafi, Saddam Hussein, and Osama bin Laden is to convey the power of this Daniel Pipes (www.danielpipes.org) is director of the Middle East Forum.
