Photo by Spencer Sullivan, Vive Studio, Inc. Congratulations and thank you for your participation in the 2014 St. George Marathon. Your support of our event and our community means a great deal to us, and we hope that we will have the opportunity to have you join us again in 2015. For the first time in the 38 year history of the marathon, both male and female overall winners are residents of St. George. Aaron Metler, with a time of 2:19:06, and Amber Green, 2:43:28, are now two time winners of the race. Aaron competed this year against an unprecedented four previous winners. Iain Hunter from Provo, Utah and Cathrine Wolden from Pound Ridge, New York continued their winning ways by topping the Masters field of runners. Aaron, Amber, Cathrine, and Iain led our delegation to Ibigawa, Japan in November. Four age group records were set this year including the wheelchair mark set in 2008. Kacey McCallister, from Monmouth, Oregon, with his time of 1:16:52 broke the record by nearly 30 minutes. Martin Rindahl from Fresno, California set a new standard by five and one half minutes in the Mens 50-54 division at 2:34:25. Jeannie Rice from Concord, Ohio ran a 3:21:47 to set the record in the Womens 65-69 division, eclipsing the old record by eight minutes. G. Brent Wynn from Bountiful, Utah produced a spectacular run as he smashed the record set in 2007 in the Mens 75-79 division; his time of 3:16:04 eclipsed the old record by over 27 minutes.
