A skater may skate in solo and pairs numbers if there is room. It will be at the discretion of the recital chair to determine. Members in group numbers may skate a solo or pairs number. Groups require just one application with all skaters names listed on a separate sheet. There is only one entry fee due for each solo or pairs. Each participant in a group has an individual fee. ENTRIES The Winter Recital entry deadline is Monday, November 5, 2012. Completed forms-recital entry and AYFSC membership forms (if applicable) and all fees payable to AYFSC must be received (not postmarked) by the chair on or before the entry deadline. All entries will be scheduled on a first-come, first served basis, so you are encouraged to return your entry for as soon as possible. All returned checks would be subject to a $25 processing fee. If you wish to withdraw from the recital prior to posting of the schedule you must contact the chair for a refund. Since the recital is first come, first serve, if the event is booked and we do not have space for your program, a recital fee refund will be issued. Membership fees are not part of recital fees. Separate membership form required for new or renewal memberships. (See Attached) SKATING TIMES The maximum skating time for solo and pair numbers is 1-½ minutes (excluding competition numbers, which are 2 minutes). The maximum time for small group numbers (7 or less) is 3 minutes. Maximum time for large group numbers (8 or more) is 5 minutes. Music will be cut off if time is exceeded. ADMISSION FEES No spectators will be admitted without a ticket. Tickets will be available at the box office at the recital for $5.00 each. Children 5 years old and under are free. SCHEDULE The official schedule will be posted one week before the first recital and will be final. The schedule will be put together on a first-come, first served basis and will be based upon the date and time preference indicated on the entry form. FINALE The recital will feature a finale. He kept a blog for icenetwork from the event, his first international competition since the Sochi Winter Olympics. Saturday, Sept. 27 Today was officially the conclusion of the Nebelhorn Trophy. The ladies free skate kicked off the day, and both Mariah Bell and Gracie Gold skated beautiful programs. Mariah finished her first senior event in fifth, and Gracie brought home the bronze for Team USA! The dance event began shortly after the ladies finished. I can't even put into words how breathtaking both Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean­Luc Baker, and Madison Chock and Evan Bates' programs were. The competition crowns U.S. champions in ladies, men’s, pairs and ice dance at the senior and junior levels. The 2021 U.S. Championships will serve as the final qualifying event prior to selecting and announcing the U.S. World Figure Skating Team that will represent Team USA at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Stockholm. The marquee event was relocated from San Jose, California, to Las Vegas late in the fall due to COVID-19 considerations. San Jose meanwhile was awarded the 2023 Toyota U.S. Championships, marking the fourth time that the city will host the event. Competition and practice for the junior and Championship competitions will be held at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The event will take place in a bubble format with no spectators. The entertainment capital of the world most recently hosted 2020 Guaranteed Rate Skate America and 2019 Skate America presented by American Cruise Lines. It is located at The Orleans Hotel and Casino and is operated by Coast Casinos, a subsidiary of Boyd Gaming Corporation.     December 4, 2018 Lausanne, Switzerland Top skaters take center stage in Vancouver ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final Preview Following six weeks of exciting competition, the top six Men, Ladies, Pairs and Ice Dance couples of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series 2018/19 will take center stage at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in Vancouver (CAN) this week. A total of 36 skaters/couples from nine ISU members have qualified during the six events of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series – Skate America in Everett, WA, Skate Canada in Laval, QC, Grand Prix Helsinki (FIN), NHK Trophy in Hiroshima (JPN), Rostelecom Cup in Moscow (RUS) and Internationaux de France in Grenoble. Overview of the competitors Reigning World Champion Nathan Chen (USA) and World silver medalist Shoma Uno (JPN) lead the list of qualifiers in the Men’s after striking gold in their two Grand Prix events. Chen is also the defending ISU Grand Prix Final Champion and Uno the defending silver medalist. Chen scored a season’s best of 280.57 points at Skate America while Uno posted a season’s best of 277.25 points at Skate Canada. Michal Brezina (CZE), who picked up two silver medals on the circuit, returns to the Final for the first time since 2011 (SBt 257.98). Sergei Voronov (RUS) will compete in his third Final (SB 254.28 points). The two newcomers this season are Junhwan Cha (KOR), who is also the first Korean male skater to qualify for the (senior) Grand Prix Final (SB 259.78 points) and Keegan Messing (CAN/SB 265.17 points) who replaces Yuzuru Hanyu (JPN).
