News from: Oakland Public Library FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 25, 2018 Get a New Warriors Library Card, Participate in OPL or SFPL Summer Program Collector’s edition Golden State Warriors library cards available June 9, in addition to Oakland Athletics ticket vouchers. OPL Summer Program runs from June 9 – August 4; online pre-registration is now open. SFPL Summer Stride runs from May 19-August 19, 2018. In partnership with Media Contact: OPL, San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) is also offering a Golden State Warriors library card this summer, so library users on both sides of the Bay Matt Berson Public Information Officer can show their Warriors team spirit. 510-238-6932 [email protected] In addition to receiving a Warriors library card, participants who register at for the Kids’ Summer Reading (ages 0-14), Teen Summer Passport (ages 12-18), or Adult Summer Reading (ages 18+) are eligible to receive Oakland Athletics ticket vouchers. Kids and teens will receive four ticket vouchers for select A’s home games at the Coliseum; adults who sign up will receive two A’s ticket vouchers. Warriors cards and A’s ticket vouchers will be available for pickup starting Saturday, June 9 at the Main Library, the African American Museum and Library at Oakland (AAMLO), or any of the 16 neighborhood branches – while supplies last. Warriors cards are available to current cardholders, or anyone age five and up with ID or parent signature. The new Warriors library card design combines an illustration of the Bay Bridge and a hand-drawn rendering of a Warriors player in the team’s special “The Town” jersey, which highlights and celebrates the rich News from: heritage of the City of Oakland.
