Darby issued General Order No. 4 dated Sep- tember 25, 2005 which states, “Therefore it is ordered that each Camp begin writing the history of the Camp, to include photographs of the Camp Com- manders, and other officers. These histories will then be forwarded to the De- partment, which will do the same for the Department level. Once completed the Camp and Department histories will be forwarded to the National for inclu- sion into the National History. “

Henry Casey, the son of George and Catherine Casey, was born December 28, 1837 in New Geneva, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. He had five brothers and five sisters: James S., Susan (Rumble), Rebecca (Poundstone), Affiant Henry, Davis, Calvin, Asable Elizabeth (Nelson), David, Mary (Sears Black), and Dorcas (Shelton). He moved to Marion Township, Fayette County, Ohio in November, 1860. He married Cath-

erine W. Holland of Paint Township, Fayette County, th Ohio. She was the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth The 20 Regiment Ohio Volunteer Holland, They had nine children: Eva Malinda, Frank Infantry participated in the following S., Carrie E. M., Ollie C. Henry Casey Camp No. 92 Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War was organized August 12, 1992 by Robert E. Grim. At that time he was a member of Gov. William Dennison Camp No. 125 which held its meet- 1992 Camp Officers ings in Jackson, Ohio. Robert E. Grim first joined the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War as a member-at-large of the Ohio Department Headquarters Camp No. 1 on March 26, 1988. In 1990 he transferred his membership to Gov. The plaques were originally mounted 1992 Camp Chartered on the walls of the G. A. R. auditorium Hall on Court Street in Washington Court House. The plaques were placed at the Senior Citizens Center in September, 1981. These white marble plaques had been ordered in Italy, where they were processed, lettered and shipped all ready to be placed in posi- tion when they arrived. The entire ship- ment reached here without any breakage. One of the plaques bears the names of the county commissioners who were in office at that time as well as the Memorial Hall Trus- tees. Living History Program at Fayette County Museum The Fayette County Historical Society Museum in Washington Court House, site of the first living history program presented by Henry Casey Camp in April, 1994

The Camp officers were installed on January 26th by National Jun- ior Vice Commander-in-Chief David R. Medert. Commander 1994 Camp Officers Grim announced that he had been promoted to 1st Lieutenant in the SVR. The Camp purchased a new flag poles and carrying cases for the camp and flag.

She was the last surviving widow of a Union Civil War soldier. He served in the 14th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry, Co. E. She was 93 years old and lived most of her life Commander Ray A. Fannin in a log cabin in Tennessee. They were married in 1927 while Sr. Vice Commander Shawn A. Cox he was 81 and she was 17. She was able to obtain John’s Jr. Vice Commander Thomas J. Camp participates in Clinton County McMillan GAR Post 58 placed a plaque on the lawn of the Clinton County Court- Courthouse ceremony house in the early 1900’s. Ray Fannin continued to serve as Camp Commander. The camp participated in the Living History program for 5th 2004 Camp Officers and 6th grade students again this year. The program was held at the Clinton County Fairgrounds in Wilmington on May 7th.
