Welcome to Saint Barnabas Church Founded in 1869, Saint Barnabas is a Roman Catholic parish of the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter. The Ordinariate was established in 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI in order to preserve elements of the Anglican tradition within the . The parish entered the Catholic Church in 2013. is celebrated using Divine Worship, the Vatican- promulgated also known as the Ordinariate or liturgy. All Catholics may fulfill their Mass obligation on Sundays and holydays at Saint Barnabas. Catholics in full with the Holy See of Rome may receive Holy Communion at our Masses. Confessions are heard beginning 25 minutes before Mass in the chapel off the right side of the nave.

 NOTICES 

 PUBLIC MASS HAS RESUMED With government restrictions due to the ongoing pandemic now eased on churches, both Archbishop Lucas and Bishop Lopes have given permission for the public celebration of Mass. The Sunday Mass obligation remains suspended, and all those who are at risk of infection are encouraged to remain at home. Those who do choose to attend Mass are expected to maintain social distancing and are encouraged to wear masks. Holy Communion will be distributed at the rail immediately after Mass, so that the celebrant can wash his hands and put on a mask before distributing the Sacrament, which will be in the form of the Sacred Host only. Sunday High Mass and Evensong will continue to be livestreamed on the parish YouTube channel and Facebook page.

 SATURDAY CONFESSIONS Saturday confessions are now heard in the Lady Chapel, for one hour, from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm.

 MASS SCHEDULE The regular Sunday schedule has resumed, with at 8:30 am, Confessions (in the Lady Chapel) at 10:00 am, High Mass at 10:30 am, and Evensong at 5:30 pm. Overflow seating will be available in the undercroft during the 10:30 am Mass, with the livestream video of the liturgy shown on the projector screen. There will be no Coffee Hour as of yet. Weekday Masses are at 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and Saturday at 11:00 am. The Tuesday Mass will be in Extraordinary Form of the , i.e. the Traditional .

 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED In order to better observe that necessary precautions for the resumption of public Mass, volunteers are needed to serve as ushers at the 10:30 am Sunday Mass. Ushers will greet attendees and direct them to bulletins, etc, help them be seated, and direct them to the rail for Holy Communion. Please contact the parish if you would like to volunteer. In addition, anyone interested volunteering to operate the camera system for livestreaming should contact Marijo Bosiljevac for training and scheduling.

 EASTER WATER Blessed Easter water is available for the use of the faithful. It will also be saved to bless homes

 PERPETUAL ADORATION AND MIRACULOUS MEDAL NOVENA The Most remains exposed for perpetual adoration in the window. The faithful may pray before Our Eucharistic Lord from the comfort of their vehicles at any time of the day or night. In addition, Miraculous Medals of Our Lady have been distributed to members and friends of the parish, and a video of the novena prayers can be found on the parish YouTube channel.

 SACRAMENTAL AND PASTORAL CARE Please contact the parish office for individual appointments for confession, anointing of the sick, and reception of Holy Communion. Parishioners are also encouraged to contact the office for any other needs, such as obtaining groceries or other necessities.

 ELECTRONIC GIVING Despite the suspension of public Mass and other activities, it remains vitally important that we continue to give for the support of the parish.
