General Weekly Challenge The answer to last week's challenge was: "ATTACK AT DAWN MONDAY." It was solved by taking the first letter from each word of the nonsensical sentence. Ms. Rowe figured it out, and she is the winner! Pick up the new challenge outside of Mr. Coll's room today. Academic League The Academic League's In-House March Madness Tournament will begin on March 18th. Any student, faculty or staff member in the Elizabeth Forward High School is eligible to participate in this quiz-bowl competition. If you are interested, all you need is a partner. Teams of two should sign up in Room 114. Competitions will take place after school - see Mr. Coll for details. High School Art Contest Elizabeth Forward High School Art Contest Sponsored by the Women's Club of Elizabeth Every year the Women's Club of Elizabeth sponsors an art exhibit and contest for the students at the Elizabeth Forward High School. The work will be displayed at the First Commonwealth Bank on Rock Run. This contest is open to all students at our high school. All entries must have been completed during the 2019-2020 school year. There are four categories. 1. Painting 2. Drawing 3. Miscellaneous (mixed media and crafts) 4. Ceramics Cash Prizes will be given to the 1st and 2nd place winners in each of the above categories. The top 10 pieces of artwork in each category will be displayed at the bank on March 27th, 2020. A panel of qualified judges will select the winners. The winners will be announced at school. Athletics Elizabeth Forward Hockey The Elizabeth Forward Hockey Team has advanced to the second round of the PIHL playoffs. The next game is on Monday, March 9th at the RMU Island Sports Center on Neville Island. They will face off against the Ringgold Rams - Please come out and support the team! The puck drops at 7:00pm. .
