Day 1: Note: Transportation to the airport from your camp is to be arranged on you own (not included). We can include airport transfers for an additional fee. Note: It is important to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. p.m. Depart local major airport. Arrive at LAX International Airport. Welcome to Los Angeles! Note: Local transportation will be provided for 5 days during your trip as needed. After 3 or 4 pm, depart for a local hotel to check in and freshen up. p.m. Depart for Santa Monica Pier. p.m. Spend some time on the Pier. Enjoy the rides/games at Pacific Park on the Pier on own! Take in the scenic vistas as you walk long beautiful Santa Monica Beach. The Pier offers a variety of entertainment, dining and shopping experiences, including the thrill rides at Pacific Park, a historic 1922 carousel, and an interactive aquarium (all at an additional cost on your own). As you stroll the planks of the Pier, enjoy lively street performers-from musicians to artists-and don’t miss some of the best sunsets along the California coast. Admission to the Pier is free. Rides are an additional cost. p.m. Dinner at Bubba Gump on the Santa Monica Pier, or equivalent restaurant, subject to availability. 9:00 p.m. Return to the hotel.

Day 2: 8:00 a.m. Continental breakfast at your hotel. 9:00 a.m. Depart for Los Angeles. 10:00 a.m. 3 hour guided familiarization bus tour. Begin your tour with a stop at the Hollywood Bowl, where you’ll see the area’s most recognizable sight – the world-famous Hollywood sign! Drive down Hollywood Boulevard past TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly Grauman’s Chinese Theatre), Hollywood’s legendary landmark. Pass the Dolby Theatre (formerly the Kodak Theater) and see the famed Oscar red carpet before heading down Sunset Boulevard. The observatory is a national leader in public astronomy and a beloved civic gathering place. The mission of Griffith Observatory is inspiring everyone to observe, ponder and understand the sky. Their knowledgeable and experienced museum guides are located around the building to help make your visit successful. See and photograph some of the most amazing panoramic views of Los Angeles. Visit the Hollywood Sign Terrace. This terrace on the west side of the parking lot overlooks Canyon and the Hollywood Hills. The most prominent landmark is the world-famous Hollywood Sign; the terrace offers the best views and photo opportunities for the Sign. The terrace features several benches, and coin telescopes give visitors the chance to observe park features up close. Just to the north are public restrooms adjacent to the parking lot. Option: A show at the Samuel Oschin Planetarium is an additional fee per person. You must be in line for your show at least 15 to 20 minutes before show time. There will be building announcements as a reminder, but you are ultimately responsible for being on time. There will be absolutely no late admission to the theater. Once the doors have closed, the show is underway and must not be interrupted. If you must leave the theater during the show, you cannot be readmitted. 8:30 p.m. Depart for the hotel.

Day 3: 8:00 a.m. Continental breakfast at your hotel. 9:00 a.m. Visit Malibu, located on the Pacific Coast Highway. a.m. Visit The Getty Center which offers unique experiences for groups. Discover the architecture and gardens and take in spectacular views. The photography collection, already one of the world’s most impressive, is known for its depth of works from important photographers. Handheld and video cameras using existing light are welcome in the permanent collection galleries only. Free. Orientation film upon arrival. A guided tour is subject to availability. a.m. Visit the Getty Villa in Malibu, a recreation of an ancient Roman villa with self-guided tour of the galleries and gardens. Discover the world of ancient of art and architecture. Same hours. p.m. Lunch on your own. Time for shopping at the quaint stores and time at another beautiful, sunny California beach. Note: Instead of visiting Malibu, visit Disney California Adventure Park with a 1-day admission for an additional fee. p.m. Dinner at the Hard Rock Café, or equivalent restaurant, subject to availability.

Day 4: 8:00 a.m. Continental breakfast at your hotel. 9:00 a.m. Depart for Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal City, CA, based on a weekday. Note: Admission to Universal on a weekend will be an additional fee. Enjoy the Universal Hollywood Studio Tour, subject to availability and change: Go behind-the-scenes on the legendary Studio Tour to explore Hollywood’s most famous backlot in the world’s largest working movie studio. Visit 13 city blocks on four acres of historic studio lot in the largest set construction project in studio history, built with creative consultation from himself. You’ll laugh along with comedian , the video host of the Studio Tour. The star of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” introduces entertaining clips seen on HD monitors in the trams to augment the live Studio Tour guide narration. Day 5: 8:00 a.m. Continental breakfast. 9:00 a.m. Depart for Farmer’s Market in Los Angeles. 10:00 a.m. Time for sightseeing, shopping at the Farmer’s Market and lunch on own. Visit The Grove, a retail and entertainment complex adjacent to the Farmers Market, features a large center park with an animated fountain. Its music-fountain show plays every hour, though the feature has a non-musical program in between shows. The water's choreography is reminiscent of the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas but on a smaller scale. The property also has a statue, The Spirit of Los Angeles. Live shows are often performed there - on the grassy area by the fountains, subject to schedule. An internal transit system uses electric-powered trolley cars to link The Grove and the Farmers Market (additional cost).
