Born and raised in Budapest, Sandra Sandor graduated from the London College of Fashion in 2005. Soon after that, in 2006 she launched her own label Nanushka.
In 2016 the brand took a more entrepreneurial approach when Peter Baldaszti, Sandra’s longtime partner has joined as a co-owner and CEO.
A signature style of confident ease and subtle femininity was evident from her first collection. Where East meets West, the brand draws inspiration from the spiritual journey through cultures and time, effortlessly combining function with flair. Nanushka delivers a modern, versatile, day to night wardrobe for the modern human with the aim of creating a new informal form of beauty.
With clothing designed in Budapest and produced in Europe, the collections showcase the finest craftsmanship and materials. Nanushka shows her mainline collection at New York Fashion week. The brand operates a free standing flagship concept store in Budapest. Her collections are now stocked in over 30 countries internationally through online stores, specialty shops and department stores like Bergdorf Goodman, Selfridges, Liberty and Browns, Net-a-Porter and MyTheresa, as well shipping over 100 countries worldwide.

Nanushka Store & Café Budapest
Nanushka opens her new flagship store in the heart of Budapest, within the city’s historic centre. The flagship is designed to round out the new world of Nanushka by creating a space that is beyond the standard shopping environment.
The store concept draws inspiration from Sandra Sandor’s personal archive of images inspired by Budapest and the diverse mixture of distant cultural and design references. The furniture has been personally selected by Sandra and commissioned from contemporary designers to create a unique experience. The majority of the materials, including stones and tabletops, have been sourced locally and have a strong sustainability aspect.
‘Our aim was to create a space that is so much more than just a standard store - commented Sandra Sandor. The Nanushka store and Cafe is so cozy, it’s like my second home, and it really allows us as a brand to let our customers see how the brand lives, it’s like inviting someone to your house.’

The café completes the store, reflecting the same ambience and adding an extra twist to the shopping experience. This caffeine-infused corner serves specialty java, fresh-fruit concoctions and fine Eastern teas.

Nanushka has debuted its first pop up store in the USA.
The label opened a temporary boutique in Culver City, Los Angeles within the walls of the hybrid development concept named Platform, which is well known for its new approach to the retail experience giving a new perspective to the traditional mall setting.
