For weeks Ulysses manages to keep his two worlds apart; appeasing his Aunt’s desire to see him involved in her Church, while spending time with his new friends, finding out who he truly is and discovering his passion for the NYC ball scene and voguing. She is a recurring character on ABC’s Lost playing Diane, mother of the criminally minded Katie and has recently appeared in episodes of The Closer, CSI and Bionic Woman, Cold Case, Castle, Leverage and ER. Broderick starred in several television series including The Five Mrs. Buchanan’s where she met the acclaimed actress Judith Ivey who remains a cherished friend, as well as Hearts Afire with Markie Post, John Ritter and Billy Bob Thornton. She also starred opposite Brad Pitt, playing a straight-shooting newspaper editor, in the series Glory Days. Sloan Foundation, the intensive five-week program offers promising producers a nurturing, creative environment as well as the resources and support needed to hone their skills, allowing them to move their current projects into production. Film Independent also announces the recipient of the 6th annual Sloan Producers Grant to Casey Fenton, who is participating in the Producing Lab with his feature film project Unmanned. Fenton will receive a $25,000 development grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, which seeks to create and develop new scripts and films about science and technology, and to see them into commercial production with national and international distribution. The grant was awarded on October 21, 2012 at the Film Independent Forum, presented by Indiewire. Unmanned is the story of a young Air Force drone operator who struggles to balance the stresses of going to war for the first time with the challenges of being a good father and husband, as he commutes each day between suburban family life and the war he fights by remote control. In 2015, Janet directed JACK OF THE RED HEARTS, starring Famke Janssen and AnnaSophia Robb. It won the Jury Prize at Bentonville Film Festival, founded by Geena Davis to promote Women and Diversity; Audience Award & Best Young Actor/ Woods Hole FF; Chimera Award Gender Equality/Catalina FF; Best Feature, Best Director/Golden Door FF, amongst other awards as it played in festivals in US and abroad.
